Makeup looks using Erth Minerals

I’m back with my makeup looks from yesterday. Yes, two. They were both really simple to do, each took me about 5-10 minutes. So yeah, nothing too fancy! In the morning I did just my eyes and lips. In the evening we went to diner and a movie, so I did my face makeup (foundation and blush) and I added two more eye shadows. I got a brand new camera for Christmas (thanks, boo!), so I wanted to test its macro function. Hence all the pictures below. 😉 The eye shadows I used for both day and ‘evening’ are by...

Holiday make up tip: Urban Decay’s Makeup Setting Sprays

I have a great holiday make up tip for you today! I think you should all run to the store or quickly open Urban Decay’s website to check this out! I’ve been using Urban Decay’s De-Slick Oil Control Spray for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love it. I feel like I NEED recommend it to everyone I know. 🙂 De-slick is a setting spray that is now the final step to my makeup routine. It’s a spray that you spray on top of your make up. It prevents loss of color, melting, sliding, caking, cracking, excess shine,...

Review: Benefiance Balancing Softener (toner) by Shiseido

Today’s post is about a Shiseido product. I’ve mentioned Shiseido before on my website. I use their Tsubaki Hair Conditioner Treatment as a (almost) daily moisturizer for my hair and I love it. Shiseido spends more on research and development each year than most in their industry. So of course I was pretty excited to have the opportunity to try another one of their products. Especially now that I’m on a skin care kick. I mean, my skin has been looking pretty good lately and I’d like to use good products in order to keep it that way 🙂 Anyway,...

Review: Synthetic Face Kit by Sigma (3 Kabuki brushes)

On Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) Sigma Beauty offered ‘free shipping’ to all their customers (national and international). This was the perfect excuse for me to finally order the brush set that I’d been drooling over. I think I saved $5.95 😀 The set I’m talking about is Sigma’s Synthetic Face Kit. The Synthetic Face Kit consists of three awesome brushes and retails for $42. These brushes are perfect for applying (liquid) foundation and powder: F82 Round Top Kabuki F80 Flat Top Kabuki F84 Angled Top Kabuki I received a free travel eye shadow brush with my order, because...

Review: KeraCare Natural Textures haircare

A month ago I wrote about a haircare line that I started to use. Click here if you missed it. If you have A LOT of hair like I do (it’s very fine, it’s long and extremely curly), you know the importance of good hair care. It’s all about the products you use. A few days ago I showed you what I use to dry my hair (I use a curl-ease towel), today I’ll get more into details about my hair products. The haircare line is by Avlon and is called KeraCare Natural Textures. It’s specifically formulated for women with...

Review: POREfessional pore minimizer by Benefit

In one of my November hauls (November was a bad month for my wallet…), I showed you the Benefit’s POREfessional pore minimizer that I purchased. POREfessional (0.75 oz.) is supposed to minimize the appearance of pores. It is a translucent balm that you can apply under or over makeup. Benefit says when applying it under makeup, to apply to clean, lightly moisturized skin, then pat on problem areas and blend with fingertips. For over makeup, pat on lightly over makeup and blend. The goal of this balm is to achieve translucent pore coverage and smooth skin. It’s not supposed to...

Review: CURL-ease, a towel for girls with curls

Hi guys! I’ve recently received something adorable and extremely helpful and I can’t wait to share it with you. 🙂 For the last two weeks I’ve been using a special towel after I wash my hair, called CURL-ease. It’s a towel for us girls with natural curls. The CURL-ease is a towel that is lightweight, 100% cotton and that dries hair quickly, while decreasing frizz. It’s designed specifically for wavy, curly, thick or textured hair. All you have to do is wrap your hair with it after washing it. After 15-30 minutes (depending on the length and thickness of your...

Review: Coral Actives Acne Treatment (Retinol Cleanser + acne serum)

About a month ago Coral Actives sent me these two products: Retinol Exfoliating Cleanser with Sea Whip Extract (5 fl.oz./150 ml) + Penetrating Acne Serum with 6% Benzoyl Peroxide and Sea Whip Extract (1 fl.oz./30 ml) I’ve mentioned Coral Actives before, read it Coral Actives Acne Treatment. Both products use a renewable resource of Sea Whip Coral Extract that reduces redness, irritation and inflammation of acne – areas that prescription brands seem to ignore. Sea Whip Coral also contributes toward cellular repair. It has very strong soothing properties for sensitive, irritated skin. The Cleanser contains Retinol which is a pure...

A new favorite: MAC Cosmetics Pro Longwear Foundation (review)

This review is a bit overdue. I’ve been using this foundation for about two months now and when I answered the beauty question about applying foundation, I realized I hadn’t written about my new favorite yet. Review: Badger’s Organic Lip Balm

Review: Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer

A budget concealer duo: a heavy duty concealer with concealer pencil I’ve recently picked up a Hard Candy Glamoflauge Heavy Duty Concealer at Walmart. This is a new product by Hard Candy and actually, it’s my first by Hard Candy! Honestly, the brand never really interested me, because I feel like it’s geared more towards teenagers. Their collections have cute packaging and low prices, but I’ve always thought quality wise it’s not the best. BUT, I’m always open to trying new things and after watching some positive reviews on YouTube, I wanted to try it for myself! Click here to...

Guest blog: Blot Powders compared (by FreshDimez)

Today a guest blog by one of my close friends Dorothy, owner of Dutch beauty blog Freshdimez. Happy reading!! Thinking of a topic and writing another guest blog for my dear friend’s blog was very exciting! I’ve tried and tested many different powders and today I will share my opinion on 3 of them. Kizzy has oily skin, while I have combination/dry skin with a shiny t-zone. This doesn’t compliment my overall make up look, so of course I had to find a solution. For a fresh faced look that last the entire day, I always carry a blot powder...
