My favorite products by Wet n Wild – and a few not so favorites

It’s almost that time of the month…time to pick out my favorite products of the last couple of weeks. Before I do that, I’m doing another installment of my ‘best of’ series today! In these series I tell you my one-brand favorites. A couple of days ago I showed you my favorite IT Cosmetics products and today it’s all about the brand Wet n Wild! Which products are worth getting and which one(s) are not? Wet n Wild is sold at the drugstore and has a ton of products that are very, very inexpensive. The quality is great though, the...

Quick tip! Jesse’s Girl Liquid Liner (a new favorite)

I’ve discovered a liquid eyeliner that I’m officially calling my ‘all time favorite’ liquid liner! I’ve been wearing liquid liner for years (since high school, I think – mascara, liquid liner and lipgloss), so I kinda consider myself a liquid eyeliner connoisseur. Hah! 😀 I’m very picky when it comes to them and the fact that this one is now my favorite, says a lot! The best part is that it’s from the drugstore and it’s less than $7. It’s by Jesse’s Girl and this is actually my first time trying anything by this brand. This is how the liner...

My favorite products by IT Cosmetics – and a few not so favorites

Happy Tuesday! 🙂 Today’s post is one that I’ve been planning on doing for a long time. This is the first of my ‘best of’ series, in which I tell you my one-brand favorites! Which products of a particular brand are worth getting? And which one(s) are not? Of course I have to start with my favorites from IT Cosmetics, since this brand has been one of my favorite high-end brands for a while now. I love that they consistently keep come out with new products that are really good! I do have to state that, as a blogger, I...

Review: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation

I’m going to start off this review by saying that I’m normally not a big fan of drugstore foundations. There are a few exceptions, but overall they do not work for my skin type. As you know, I have extremely oily skin (without the right foundation I can mattify my skin the best I can in the morning, but still end up looking like an greaseball an hour later). Also, my skin is very sensitive: I’m acne prone, which means I break out really easily (due to hormones, certain foods etc). I try to stay away from drugstore liquid foundations,...

Review: Amuse Bouche Lipsticks by BITE Beauty #theamusebouche

In my March Favorites the other day I mentioned that I’ve been loving the Amuse Bouche lipsticks by Bite Beauty in the past. In fact, they’ve been my favorite lippies in the past couple of months. I have three shades, which were sent to me by Influenster in a VoxBox. I don’t think I would have bought them myself, because you guys know that I have way too many lipsticks! I’m happy that I got to try them though, because these lipsticks feel sooo good on the lips, it’s crazy! Check them out below. Bite Bouche Lipstick in ‘Pepper’ Bite...

Quick tip! Lumixyl Trifecting Retinol Night Cream, targets 3 skincare issues at once

I have a quick skincare tip for you today. 🙂 If you have the same skin issues as I have (dark spots, fine lines and blemishes), then check out this night cream! It’s by Lumixyl MD and it’s called the Trifecting Night Cream. Lumixyl Trifecting Night Cream is a skin perfecting treatment that boosts brightness, dissolves blemishes and leaves you with clear and smooth skin. Its main ingredient is retinol, an ingredient I LOVE. Retinol helps cell turnover to fade the appearance of signs of aging and damage. It creates a smoother texture, as well as a more ‘even’ tone....

All about my skincare routine (ft. Mirai Clinical products)

Hope you’re having a great weekend! After posting an overview of my bodycare products, I promised you to also show you which products I use on my face. My skincare routine is pretty straightforward. I use a face wash and serum that also acts as a toner and moisturizer. Once a week I also apply a facemask, either a traditionals mask or an Asian sheet mask. I do get breakouts every now and then (usually during that time of the month). When I do, I use a topical spot treatment with benzoyl peroxide, which usually clears it up within a...

My bodycare products: Japanese & anti-aging! I use Mirai Clinical

Today’s post is about my bodycare! After covering my haircare the other day, I thought it was time to go over my skincare routine now. 🙂 Today I will go over what I’ve been using on my body and later this week I’ll show you what I’ve been using on my face. My bodycare products are all by a Japanese skincare brand called Mirai Clinical. You know that the Japanese are serious about their skincare and this line proves it! Its main ingredient is persimmon, a fruit that geisha have been using for centuries for its antibacterial and deodorizing properties....

Review: Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara by Marc Jacobs

I’ve been using the Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara by Marc Jacobs for almost a month now and I’m finally ready to write my review! Over the years I noticed that a new mascara can perform differently than a mascara that has been opened for a while. For this reason I waited a little bit with writing this, so I can tell you my full experience! ‘Velvet Noir’ is said to be an ultra-volumizing mascara that delivers instant dimension for epic lashes. According to Marc Jacobs it gives you the thickest lashes in one sweep. Velvet Noir is inspired by...

My current hair care: Dessange Paris Purifying Clay Collection (available at Target)

This post is all about my hair care. 🙂 Last time I mentioned my hair was when I talked about what I do before, while and after straightening my naturally curly hair. You can find that post here. After I cut my hair at the end of October I was looking for new hair products, because my new, short hair was looking super healthy and I wanted to keep it that way! The timing couldn’t be any better, because right around that time I was approached by Dessange Paris. Dessange Paris has their flagship store on one of my favorite...

Empty! Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner

Hi everyone! I’ve done an ’empties’ post before where I showed you the products I’ve used up before I throw them in the trash. Unfortunately, that was a one time only thing (I believe), because I have a really hard time remembering to keep my empties, I tend to throw them out without thinking. I do use quite a bit up every month, especially skincare. Today, I decided to show you my first empty of the year straight away, because this is something that is awesome and I honestly can’t wait to tell you about it. It’s something that I’d...
