My favorite mink false eyelashes by ESQIDO Lashes

Long time no see! I’m here though. I haven’t been posting any makeup looks, because my looks have been pretty much the same. Boring, I know! I’ve been using my (all time) favorites products, but I’ve also been using makeup that I’m simply trying to use up. What I’ve been really into lately, is experimenting more with false eyelashes! I don’t wear false lashes every day, but I do like them when I go out at night. It’s amazing how something simple like eyelashes can change your whole look. I do have to admit, I still have a hard time...

Chuck E. Cheese’s now has Unlimited Games

The weekend is coming up! What are you guys doing? We’re thinking about going to Chuck E. Cheese’s again, one of our favorite places for games and activities for kids. 🙂 We went last Saturday and had so much fun! I’ll add some pictures below. Mason, who’ll be 6 years old in July, loves it. Secretly, I actually think my hubby loves all the games even more than he does… lol We are all excited to visit again because select restaurants in the San Diego area are offering Unlimited Games and our local Chuck E. Cheese’s is one of them....

The unicorn of moisturizers: Olay Whips

Spring is here! Spring means the sun is showing itself more now. Spring for me also means Spring cleaning! I’ve been going through my makeup and skincare products and getting rid of everything I’ve never used or will never use. I’ve also been simplifying my regimen. A product that I’ve completely eliminated is makeup primer. I started using a new moisturizer that has replaced my previous moisturizer AND primer: Olay Whips. This moisturizer is different than your average lightweight moisturizer: it’s ideal before makeup because it works just like a primer. Some call it a “no primer, primer” and I...

Resetting my skin with Olay

I’m back! The other day I showed you guys my favorite products. I mentioned that my focus lately has been on ‘resetting’ my skin and that is exactly what I want to talk to you about today. As you know, I’ve been trying to get my skin back into shape. So far it’s been going great and I am loving the results. 🙂 I thought this would be a good time to touch base with you guys and tell you about my current regimen. As you might recall, I completed the Olay 28 Day Challenge. After this, I continued using...

Review: White Marble Bright Face Mask by Erno Laszlo #GlowBetter

Guess who’s back from another hiatus? This girl. Oops! It’s been a while since my last blog post. I’m going to try to do better! Life has been super hectic lately. Mostly good though. Mason is doing really well at school and our baby girl is now exactly 14 months. Yay! I stopped breastfeeding about a month ago and now my hormones have been all over the place. My skin hasn’t been at its best, so I’ve switched up my skincare routine. I’ve been using some new (to me) products, one of it being the White Marble Bright Face Mask...

Review: Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara (NEW at Sephora)

Have you heard of the new Monsieur Big Mascara by Lancome? It’s new at Sephora. I was lucky enough to get my hands on it through Influenster and I’ve been trying it every day since I got back from the US. I like it a lot. 🙂 It’s made to give your lashes up to 12x the volume and last for up to 24 hours thanks to its brush and formula. Below are more details and my own before and after pictures. How it’s described “Ideal for all-day wear, this mascara doesn’t require touch-ups and doesn’t flake or smudge. This...

Review: The best inexpensive face cream, Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

The other day I mentioned my oily skin. As long as I can remember I have oily skin. My nose gets oily, my chin, cheeks…pretty much my entire face, except for the outer perimeter. That’s where it’s a little dry. I guess you could say I have combination/oily skin. Even with my skin type, hydration is always important. My skin produces oil throughout the day, however, I always make sure to moisturize in the morning. Olay contacted me a little while ago and told me about an independent test by the Good Housekeeping Institute (GHI) that showed that their Regenerist...

New favorite! Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser by GLAMGLOW

I have a new favorite, guys! A couple of weeks ago I ran out of facial cleanser and I happen to have a coupon for Parfumerie Douglas. So I went to the nearest Douglas store and asked the sales lady what she recommended for my oily skin. She couldn’t stop talking about the Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser by GLAMGLOW. She asked me if I was familiar with the brand, which I was (I love their facial masks) and had me try a sample in the store. I ended up purchasing the full-size bottle and I gotta say…I’m happy that I...

On my nails: KIKO Smart Nail Lacquer in ‘Dark Chocolate’

It’s been forever since I showed you my nails! Honestly, there wasn’t much to show. I’ve been keeping them short (because of the baby) and I also haven’t been wearing any exciting colors. Just the same nudes over and over again. And sometimes just a clear polish. The other day I picked up a few things at KIKO Cosmetics (there’s an actual store near my parents’ house), including two nail polishes. I posted a picture of my purchases on my Instagram. I don’t need any more polishes, but I couldn’t resist since they were on sale (just 2 Euro). One...

Beauty Bakerie, the Instafamous cosmetic brand opened its first flagship store in San Diego (Westfield Mission Valley mall) last weekend! Close to where I live. Sweet, right? (pun intented…hah!) I wish I could have attended, but as you probably know by now, I’m overseas visiting my family. My friend Sheyla was able to attend the grand opening on Saturday for me, so yay! Read all about her afternoon filled with makeup, fashion, treats, surprises and gifts below. 🙂 On Saturday, May 6th, I had the privilege of attending the grand opening for Beauty Bakerie’s new store in San Diego. Review: Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Coverage Foundation Concentrate

When I posted my favorite beauty products overseas (I’m currently staying at my family in the Netherlands), I mentioned the foundation I’ve been using. For the past couple of months, I’ve been using the Re(marc)able Full Coverage Foundation by Marc Jacobs. A lot of you asked me how I like it and if it’s worth buying. Coincidentally, I was already planning on writing a full review on it, so here it is. 😀 Re(marc)able is a $55 foundation (yup, it’s pricey) and is available at Sephora and on Marc Jacob’s beauty website, where they’re currently having a Friends & Family...

Here is some NEW Wet n Wild Photo Focus makeup you HAVE to try!

Long time no see! In the time I was away, the kids and I flew to Europe to spend some time with grandma and grandpa before my eldest starts kindergarten. We’re actually still here (in The Netherlands, to be exact); will be staying here for a little while. 🙂 Today I want to tell you about these awesome new products that Wet n Wild released not that long ago. These are all permanent items that have been added to the existing line at drugstores, grocery stores, and mass retailers. They are definitely not limited edition. I’ve been trying these products...
