My current favorite moisturizer – for normal/combination skin

Hi everyone! I decided to review the moisturizer I’ve been using, because it’s a great product! I mentioned it in my May Favorites the other day. It’s a little pricey, but soooo worth it, in my opinion. It’s the Glycolic Expert Moisturizer by Exuviance. This moisturizer is formulated with 10% Glycolic Acid. Glycolic Acid is frequently found on editor must-have lists for anti-aging beauty routines, and for good reason! Find out more below. Glycolic Acid is a so-called Alpha Hydroxy Acid. This Alpha Hydroxy Acid readily absorbs into the skin, exfoliating to enhance cell turnover, and remove the dead, dull...

My August beauty favorites (Milani, it Cosmetics, Exuviance and more)

It’s time for my August beauty favorites! August has been crazy for me. I was away from home for almost the entire month. In the second week of August I returned from The Netherlands, where I had spent close to 3 months. Then, right after getting back home in Vegas, we went to California for a few days to look at potentially new apartments. When we got back, we started packing our entire apartment and two weeks later we drove to San Diego and moved into our new place. So that was my August…. My life can be a little...

My January Makeup, Skin Care and Hair Favorites

Hi guys! It’s me! Didn’t do a lot of blogging this weekend. Mason’s been sick with the flu (for almost two weeks now). He’s been sneezing, coughing and not eating. So sad 🙁 And I now have a terrible cold! Ugh! I still wanted to get this post out today, because it’s one of my favorites to do! It’s my monthly favorites. Every month I go through the products that I’ve been using and I pick out a couple that I’ve been absolutely loving and that I’ve been using a lot. It’s February (already!), so that means that these are...

Review: Exuviance Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish (available at Ulta)

When Neostrata asks if you’d like to try one of their new products, you say yes! 🙂 I swear, I’ve never tried a Neostrata product I didn’t like. Neostrata is sold online, at salons, dermatologists’ offices and you can also find it at Ulta and at Ulta.com. It’s a skin care line developed by dermatologists and is highly regarded by skin care experts around the world. I tried their products before and I especially love their Exuviance line, which is targeted at reducing lines and wrinkles, increasing firmness, smooth texture and even skin tone. Lately, my main skin care goal...

Review: Exuviance OptiLight Tone Corrector (diminishes dark spots)

As you know, I try out a lot of skin care products. It’s something I like to do, I can’t help myself. 😀 I’m always on the hunt for great products and when I find something I like, I can’t wait to tell you about it on the site! This review is about a skin tone corrector that I received for review purposes. It’s called the OptiLight Tone Corrector and it’s a treatment that reduces the intensity of dark spots and corrects uneven skin tone. It’s by Exuviance, a brand that I’ve tried before. I’ve been using this particular product...

My May Favorites (radiant skin edition!)

I’ve been getting a lot of compliments about my skin lately. 🙂 Thank you all sooooo much! Means a lot to me, since I’m always struggling with it. Besides having that pregnancy glow, I guess (is that even a real thing?), I do have a couple of (new) products that help me out on a daily basis. I’ve been using these daily of in the past month, so they are definitely favorites! Details below! 🙂 Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub First off, I wash my face twice a day with my neem scrub. It contains neem and apricot, which exfoliate...

Upcoming Review: Exuviance OptiLight Tone Corrector

Thanks for all the sweet words I received yesterday regarding the baby! 🙂 I also got a lot of comments on my Facebook and Twitter. I loved reading it all! I’ll share some of my baby bump pictures with you soon, either later today or tomorrow. Today I’m going to talk a little bit about my skin care. My skin hasn’t changed much throughout the pregnancy. Not in a bad way, but not in a good way either. It’s still oily and I still get breakouts every now and then (unfortunately). My face is a little bit puffier, but that’s...

Review: Exuviance CoverBlend Multi-Function Concealer with SPF 15

At the end of last year I was sent a product by Exuviance for review consideration. I have used it quite a bit, but because of everything that has been happening lately, I have yet to write my review. I do have a lot to say about it (when don’t I?), so I decided to put down my thoughts anyway. Better late then never, right? It might be helpful to whoever is considering buying this concealer. The product that I’ve been trying is the CoverBlend Multi-Function Concealer with SPF 15. What is it? – Conceal and correct skin spots, dark...

Review: Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic (antioxidant and anti-aging)

Exuviance is a brand that always catches my eye when I’m looking around at department stores. It’s dermatologist developed and known for its extensive skin care line. I’ve never tried one of their products, so I was happy when I got the opportunity to do so! I received the SkinRise Bionic Tonic, so I could review it for you guys. What is it? Exuviance SkinRise Bionic Tonic: these are pads that are drenched with an antioxidant and anti-aging tonic that is said to “moisturize and condition skin, while enhancing clarity, smoothness, and firmness. Single-use pads revitalize your skin each morning,...

My Skin Care Routine (I have oily, acne-prone skin)

Sometimes I wish I had perfect skin. But unfortunately… I don’t. It’s super sensitive (meaning: it responds to certain foods, stress, hormones etc.), it’s extremely oily and acne-prone. I have to make a lot effort to make it look ‘decent’. I can’t (and don’t!) just put ‘anything’ on my skin. Above are the products I’m currently using for my face. The last time I made a list like this, was back in March. Time for an update! If you have any questions or want me to do a review on something, let me know. I’ll be happy to provide. 🙂...
