Freida Pinto’s millionaire make up

Yesterday I posted some pictures of Freida Pinto at the 2009 Oscars and now I’m ‘doing her’ again… 😀 I just heart her! Her gown was pretty, her hair was pretty, but let’s not forget her make up! Celebrity makeup artist Jeffrey Paul made up her face by using Dior products. How to copy her Oscars look: If your skin is as flawless as Freida’s stick with a mineral foundation as less is more. Paul used Diorskin Nude in Honey Beige. To get that pretty glow, Freida wore Diorskin Shimmer Star in Amber Diamond. Everything was set with DiorSkin Nude...

Freida Pinto, a red carpet beauty

Freida Pinto, one of the stars of the award winning Slumdog Millionaire, looks stunning!! Not only yesterday on the red carpet, but throughout the whole movie she looked like a million bucks (rupees?) Don’t you think? Yesterday she showed up at the Oscars wearing a pretty single-sleeve gown from John Galliano. The dress is blue, which happens to be my favorite color 🙂  The hair, the dress, her make up…Perfection! If you want to copy her red carpet hair look, go visit an Indian’s makeup blog here to learn how!Read more...

Review: All Matt Primer by MUFE (an update)

Last time I visited the US (Oct./Nov.) I purchased a bottle of ‘All Matt’ by Make Up For Ever at Sephora. All Mat is a primer, it’s oil-free and non-greasy. You can read my review (which was extremely positive!) here. Make Up Forever ALL Mat I use it almost every day (you only need a little bit at a time) and I still don’t regret buying it. Some women however, don’t want to take the extra step to use a primer or think it doesn’t work. Well, believe me…if you have oily skin or if you have acne scars, do...

Lipgloss heaven: La Creme Lip Gloss by Bourjois

I bought this lip gloss last weekend. Actually, it was 50% off, so I got two 😀 I was in the store with my little brother and he suggested to get this color. Good choice! I like the color, but also the texture. It’s not too sticky and it doesn’t try out fast. It’s a lip gloss and a moisturizing creme in one product, good stuff!Read more...

Dress like Michelle Obama

If you liked Michelle Obama’s dress at the inauguration, I have good news for you! Cheap Chica reports that there’s a similar dress available! It’s in pre-order now (will ship out in mid-March) and costs ‘only’ $320. Of course it’s not a Jason Wu dress, the original obviously costs a lot more, but it sure is nice! I would get it if I had a formal event to go to. But nope, there’s nothing in my calendar right now! Scroll down to see the copy gown look-a-like gownRead more...

Aretha Franklin’s Hat

So who doesn’t want Aretha Franklin’s hat she wore during Barack’s inauguration? She looked fabulous, right? 😀 She looked like a character in Disney World…… The hat worn by the ‘Queen of Soul’ was hand-molded by designer Luke Song. The design came from two different hats at the store. “She walked through the shop and said ‘I want that bow (put) on that hat,'” he said. “She had the coat already, but she needed the hat to set it off.” If it were on sale, it would cost upward of $500. However, the hatmaker made the gear especially for her...

Latest trend: Saint protection bracelet

The latest trend in celebrity world is this Saint Protection bracelet. Nothing big, just this simple and inexpensive bracelet (starts at $9.99) Britney Spears has been photographed with it, and so has Miley Cyrus and a couple of others. And this little post, my friends, concludes the story of how this bracelet became a ‘trend’! You can get it at Marco Polo, add the code ‘cheap’ to get 10% off.Read more...

Golden Globe hair

This is something I happen to notice while looking at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards red carpet pictures: Eva Longoria Parker and Megan Fox almost had the same hairdo….and a tattoo on the same spot! I like Megan’s hair (nr. 2) better! (and this is basically all I have to say about the Golden Globe, cause it really did not interest me that much….)Read more...

Barbie love Stila

In 2007 MAC released a Barbie-themed makeup collection. I bought a lipstick, but the rest of the collection didn’t do much for me… Now in 2009 Stila has a collaboration with Barbie to celebrate her 50th birthday! Time flies, also for Barbie… And I’m a lot more excited about this one! This (of course limited-edition!) collection will launch next month at Sephora stores. This includes international locations (yay me!) and online. The collection will include four ‘Decades of Beauty‘ cans ($40): 1) Ponytail Doll, which commemorates the first Barbie in 1959 2) Malibu Barbie, from 1971 3) Foxy Doll, in...

My new glasses

As you know I’ve bought new glasses. Well, here they are!! (pic taken in my new office by the way…) I have been wearing glasses since I was 11 actually, but I only wear them when I’m at home. Hardly ever ‘in public’. I mostly wear contacts. However, my eyes are getting more and more sensitive (especially after a long day at work), so that’s why I decided to buy new glasses and start wearing them more often than the ones I have now. 🙂 I do have a question, a very very important question, for the people who wear...
