Review: White Marble Bright Face Mask by Erno Laszlo #GlowBetter

Guess who’s back from another hiatus? This girl. Oops! It’s been a while since my last blog post. I’m going to try to do better! Life has been super hectic lately. Mostly good though. Mason is doing really well at school and our baby girl is now exactly 14 months. Yay! I stopped breastfeeding about a month ago and now my hormones have been all over the place. My skin hasn’t been at its best, so I’ve switched up my skincare routine. I’ve been using some new (to me) products, one of it being the White Marble Bright Face Mask

Our Brick-or-Treat Party Night at LEGOLAND California [pictures]

Ever been to LEGOLAND after dark? I have. 😀 Just like last year, the kids, my husband and I were invited to attend one of the Brick-or-Treat Party Nights. During this event, LEGOLAND California celebrates Halloween with the little ones and it’s pretty awesome! Brick-or-Treat Party Nights is a special event that takes place every Saturday leading up to Halloween (the first one was on September 30) and tickets are $49 if purchased online in advance. We went this past Saturday. The event started at 5pm, which means that after an hour or so we were literally walking around in

Guest blog: Contouring sticks, a basic guide for beginner users

Contouring as a beauty buzzword and concept may feel like it’s relatively new. After all, it isn’t until after Kim Kardashian made it popular did the term and practice begin to pick up in the mainstream beauty community. However, the art of using makeup to enhance facial structure and provide shape to certain areas of the face has existed for centuries. Its origins can be traced all the way back to the mid-1500s when stage actors in England during the time of Queen Elizabeth I would apply black soot and chalk to their faces so that their audience can see

The Oxygen Beauty Spa: my first impression

Yes, that is me! 😀 Laying in a luxurious spa, surrounded by millions of oxygenated micro bubbles. I’ve had some pretty hectic weeks lately, so this past weekend I decided to treat myself to a treatment in an Oxygen Beauty Spa. I’m sure you’re wondering what this is… Trust me, I did too! I’ll explain in this post. The Oxygen Beauty Spa is a self-contained and eco-friendly spa that you can place inside your home, in your backyard or on your patio. It does not need to be connected to your home’s drainage system. The spa is filled with regular

FBE’s monthly beauty giveaway + throwback pics of our son’s first day of school

Last time I was here a few days ago and I mentioned that Mason (5) had started kindergarten (kleuterschool, in Dutch). I promised to post some pics of him on Instagram, but like with most of my promises recently…I didn’t keep it (sadly). I’ve actually been off social media for a while now and it’s kind of a ‘step’ to get back on… I have been checking Facebook once in a while, but that’s about it. Because I didn’t post these pics there, I decided to put them here instead. So here’s Mason posing and holding different objects on his

LOL! I still can’t believe my baby is in school now. He had been going to preschool for about a year (he
