Review and swatches: BECCA Luminous Blush (all 6!)

See all these beautiful, luminous blushes? I swear, this is the best package I’ve received so far! I was literally squealing with excitement when opening the box. Hihi! So much so that my 3-year-old had to ask me if ‘everything was ok’. πŸ˜€ The BECCA brand screams luxury to me, everything is just so beautiful! I already own a couple of their products: the Ever-Matte Shine Proof Foundation and matching primer, and, of course, the popular Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in ‘Champagne Pop’. All beautiful products that, to be honest, I only use for special occasions, because I don’t

Metallic liquid lipsticks! Milani Amore Mattallics vs Wet n Wild Metallic

I think we’re officially done with matte lips! Yes, it’s been a huge trend, but cosmetics companies are slowing coming out with something else: metallic liquid lipsticks. Metallic lipstick isn’t anything new (hello 90s!), but we are currently seeing more and more shiny lips as supposed to matte ones. I’m not mad at it though: matte lipsticks can be very drying and hard to apply. Metallic lip products go on more smooth, are more moisturizing and give your lips volume. So far, I’ve tried two brands of metallic lips: Wet n Wild and Milani. Below are my findings, including pictures

Mother’s Day 2016 and BIG NEWS!

I’m feeling overwhelmed with love and blessings right now! My Mother’s Day was extra special this year…not only did I get to do all my favorite things, like spending the day with my husband and son, eating cheesecake (Cheesecake Factory FTW!), walking on the beach (we went to La Jolla, beautiful) and going to the movies (Captain America: Civil War), we also got to share some amazing news with our friends and family… My husband and I had an ultrasound done last week and we’re happy to announce that we’re expecting a healthy baby! ҝ€ï¸ Our little girl is expected

Review: You Sculpted! Universal Contouring Palette for Face & Body by IT Cosmetics

Contouring… are you sick of hearing that word yet? πŸ˜€ Everybody seems to be obsessed with it. Before contouring was a ‘thing’, it was a technique only used by celebrity makeup artists at photoshoots. Now (almost) everybody is doing it. Yes, even me! I like to contour my cheeks and when I’m feeling extra adventurous I try my hand at contouring my nose, making it appear slimmer. Every makeup brand out there has come out with some sort of contour palette and the one that I’ve been enjoying the most lately is one by IT Cosmetics: You Sculpted! Universal Contouring

Review: Milani Prime Shield Mattifying and Pore-Minimizing Face Primer

I think I’ve complained about my oily skin at least a million times now on my blog. I’m pretty sure you’re sick of hearing it. πŸ˜€ Fact is, almost every product I use and review is targeted at oily skin, especially my makeup. I’m always looking for the something better, something that controls my oil and keeps me matte for a longer period of time. When Milani came out with two new face primers, one of which being mattifying, I couldn’t wait to try it! Milani came out with the Prime Perfection Hydrating + Pore-Minimizing Face Primer, in a white

My favorite products by Wet n Wild – and a few not so favorites

It’s almost that time of the month…time to pick out my favorite products of the last couple of weeks. Before I do that, I’m doing another installment of my ‘best of’ series today! In these series I tell you my one-brand favorites. A couple of days ago I showed you my favorite IT Cosmetics products and today it’s all about the brand Wet n Wild! Which products are worth getting and which one(s) are not? Wet n Wild is sold at the drugstore and has a ton of products that are very, very inexpensive. The quality is great though, the

Quick tip! Jesse’s Girl Liquid Liner (a new favorite)

I’ve discovered a liquid eyeliner that I’m officially calling my ‘all time favorite’ liquid liner! I’ve been wearing liquid liner for years (since high school, I think – mascara, liquid liner and lipgloss), so I kinda consider myself a liquid eyeliner connoisseur. Hah! πŸ˜€ I’m very picky when it comes to them and the fact that this one is now my favorite, says a lot! The best part is that it’s from the drugstore and it’s less than $7. It’s by Jesse’s Girl and this is actually my first time trying anything by this brand. This is how the liner

I cut my hair! I’m all about that “bob” now :-)

I cut my hair! Yes, again – see my hair ‘before’ here and here. This time I went much shorter. I was going for a simple bob, but the hairstylist I went to at the A Salon Paul Mitchell in San Diego had a better plan. She gave me an A-line bob haircut that is ‘stacked’: meaning there’s layering at the back and long front locks. The back view is basically the focal point of the look: it’s a bob that’s rounded at the back through gradual layering and slightly angled toward the front. I love it! Pictures below. Here

My favorite products by IT Cosmetics – and a few not so favorites

Happy Tuesday! πŸ™‚ Today’s post is one that I’ve been planning on doing for a long time. This is the first of my ‘best of’ series, in which I tell you my one-brand favorites! Which products of a particular brand are worth getting? And which one(s) are not? Of course I have to start with my favorites from IT Cosmetics, since this brand has been one of my favorite high-end brands for a while now. I love that they consistently keep come out with new products that are really good! I do have to state that, as a blogger, I

Review: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation

I’m going to start off this review by saying that I’m normally not a big fan of drugstore foundations. There are a few exceptions, but overall they do not work for my skin type. As you know, I have extremely oily skin (without the right foundation I can mattify my skin the best I can in the morning, but still end up looking like an greaseball an hour later). Also, my skin is very sensitive: I’m acne prone, which means I break out really easily (due to hormones, certain foods etc). I try to stay away from drugstore liquid foundations,
