Tips for Bad Hair Days (courtesy of myself and the Aflac Duck)

This review and giveaway was made possible by iConnect Influencer Management and Aflac. I was compensated for my participation in this campaign, but all opinions are 100% mine. Bad hair days, who doesn’t have them? I’m the kind of person who loves doing my makeup, but when it comes to my hair…I rather skip it! Makeup is much more fun to do than hair, if you ask me. To make things worse: sometimes my hair just does not want to cooperate. Because I still want to look presentable, even on those bad hair days, I have come up with 3...

Coming soon: all NEW H&M beauty products! In-store and online

Hi everyone! I was planning on posting an outfit of the day today, since I haven’t done one in a while. However, it’s been raining like crazy over here, so instead of dressing like a normal person, I put on my sweats this morning and called it a day. Maybe tomorrow… 😀 Anyway, I have some beauty related news for you today! H&M (who doesn’t know H&M?) will be launching a new beauty line to replace their old products! The Swedish clothing line is coming out with a completely NEW house brand that will consist of 700 beauty items. Wooha!...

Mommy review: Babynero Organic Body Oil by Amanprana

As a beauty blogger I try out a lot of different skincare products. Over the years I can kinda predict what will work for me and what not. Products with Hyaluronic acid (used to make wrinkles and fine lines less visible) for example, I stay far away from. These tend the break me out right away. I also try to stay away from skincare products with parabens or mineral oil. Knowing this, I have no problems trying out new skincare products for this blog. It’s fun! When it comes to our two-year-old, however, his dad and I are a little...

Beauty Blogazons Weekly Round Up + great news: KIKO now ships to the US!

A while back I posted about KIKO Cosmetics’ new store here in Rotterdam (I’m spending the summer in the Netherlands, in case you didn’t know) and showed you the goodies I got. KIKO Milano is a leading Italian brand of cosmetics, make-up and skin care products. It’s a fun brand and everything is very affordable! After writing about KIKO, a lot of my American readers were disappointed that KIKO’s online store does not ship to the US, only within Europe. Even though there are some stores in the US (in NY and NJ mainly), unfortunately these stores do not take...

My must-have makeup for Summer: waterproof, smudgeproof, mattifying, long-lasting and oil-free!

My must-have makeup for Summer: waterproof, smudgeproof, mattifying, long-lasting and oil-free!

I’ve been asked what products I ‘can’t live without’ now that it’s Summer, so I decided to just show them here. I’m starting off with makeup and in other post I’ll do skincare. Take a look! 🙂 From left to right: MAC Sea Me, Hear Me Extra Dimension Blush ($27.50): this blush was part of last year’s Summer collection, the Alluring Aquatic Collection. It’s described as a ‘beige pink’ and I think it looks beautiful on darker skin. It’s a warm-toned coral with a satiny sheen. It’s very natural looking. The texture is incredibly soft, finely-milled and smooth, but not...

Mommy review: Aveeno Baby Natural Protection Face Stick with SPF 50

Moms! I know we’re already towards to end of July, but if you’re still in the market for a sunscreen for your son or daughter, you might like this one by Aveeno. It’s their Baby Natural Protection Face Stick with SPF 50. It’s not just for babies, if you ask me. It’s for all ages, but especially for small kids because their skin is extra sensitive. It has 100% naturally-sourced sunscreen ingredients. I’ve been using it on my son Mason (who’s definitely not a baby anymore, he’ll be 3 in a few weeks!) and below are my thoughts on it....

My 5 favorite blushes for Summer: KIKO, BECCA, MAC, Tarte and Catrice

My 5 favorite blushes for Summer: KIKO, BECCA, MAC, Tarte and Catrice

Happy Friday! I’m SO ready for the weekend. Are you? Today I’ll be talking about the thing I like almost just as much lipstick: blush. 🙂 I’m showing you my current favorite blushes. As you can see in the picture above: my preference goes out to pink and peach blushes. Especially in the Summer when my skin is more tan/golden. I also prefer a blush to be matte and with a soft sheen. I absolutely do not like shimmer, because of my large pores. I also like it to have a somewhat dry formula and be long-wearing, because I have...

Review: Catrice Prime & Fine Mattifying Powder waterproof (Catrice is now available at Ulta!)

For those who haven’t heard: Catrice Cosmetics is coming to the US! Catrice is a German brand owned by Cosnova Beauty (Cosnova also owns Essence Cosmetics) and is very popular in Europe. It’s a very affordable drugstore brand, especially in Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. Catrice has always been a hard to find brand in the US, but like I said: Catrice is coming to the US! Ulta has started carrying a selection of their products online and they will be adding more in the near future. Catrice will be also be sold in select Ulta stores across the US....
