We’re getting married!!!

He popped the question in Paris and I said yes! It was on Monday March 23, our last day in Paris. We went to the Eiffel Tower that morning and after that to the Andy Warhol exhibition at the ‘Grand Palais’. It was such a beautiful day! Then, while we sat on a bench in a little park, he pulled out a ring! I thought he was joking! I was so no expecting it! But when I saw that he was nervous, I realized that he was serious. This might sound corny, but it was such a special moment! Of...

Sephora madness

Sephora here in Holland is having a huge sale at the moment. Get any three make up items from their own brand and pay only 10 euro! I went this afternoon and it was crazy! There was hardly anything left. All blushes and mascaras were gone and the foundation section was almost empty too. They were loads of girls pushing each other away and yelling. Crazy! I did manage to get three lovely items, as you can see in the picture! 1. Anti-shine primer Never bought this before, hopefully my skin will like it 2. Matifying compact foundation (r55) I’ve...

Pictures of Paris! part II

Part 2 of 3! 🙂 These pictures are all on Flickr, but I thought it would be nice to put them here as well, since not everybody has an account there. And moreover, you need to have an account there to be able to view my friends-only pictures, so yeah… Here we go again! Grand Boulevards, a large street by our hotel The view from Trocadero I think this is a church, I’m not sure! The Seine! The river that crosses the city A little part of the Louvre (it’s huge!) And a couple of aerial shots from the Eiffel...

Pictures of Paris!

Finally a blog post about my four days in Paris! 🙂 I’m going to do this in three parts, cause I want to share a lot of pictures with you! So this is obviously part one 🙂 When my boo asked me if I wanted to go to Paris, of course I said yes! I hadn’t been there in literally ten years and it used to be one of my favorite cities. I love Paris! The fashion style, the streets, the language, the overall Parisian way of living…. When I think of Paris, I think of croissants, wine, the metro...

Guess the American icon!

To celebrate Glamour’s 70th anniversary, the magazine came up with an awesome photo shoot! The session features well known celebrities, but they were in roles: all hot American icons. Guess who pretty ms. Alicia Keys is supposed to be in this picture? The first person who guesses it (in the comments) gets a virtual shout out! 😉

Makeup Remover by Sephora

I’ve been using these two products by Sephora for removing my makeup: *Sephora FACE Purifying Makeup Remover (combination to oily skin) *Sephora FACE Eye Makeup Remover These are GREAT products. Non-oily, alcohol-free and non-greasy. BUT (of course there’s a but), I want something that doesn’t just remove (eye) make up. I want it to remove makeup, cleanse, purify, moisturize, feed, nurture etc etc. Basically do all sorts of fantastic stuff to my skin. 😀 Any recommendations, ladies?

How to deal with oily skin (5 tips)

I found these tips the other day online. I find them very useful, so I decided to share! 🙂 I myself have oily skin, so yeah…. See? Ieew! Gross! How to deal with oily skin 1. One challenge with oily skin is avoiding the urge to over-cleanse, which can confuse the heck out of skin, making it either crank up the oil production or swing between oily and excessively dry. Experts recommend avoiding alcohol-based cleansers, which can strip the skin. Instead, reach for gel cleaners and wash no more than twice a day. I may also use a gentle exfoliating...

Freida Pinto’s millionaire make up

Yesterday I posted some pictures of Freida Pinto at the 2009 Oscars and now I’m ‘doing her’ again… 😀 I just heart her! Her gown was pretty, her hair was pretty, but let’s not forget her make up! Celebrity makeup artist Jeffrey Paul made up her face by using Dior products. How to copy her Oscars look: If your skin is as flawless as Freida’s stick with a mineral foundation as less is more. Paul used Diorskin Nude in Honey Beige. To get that pretty glow, Freida wore Diorskin Shimmer Star in Amber Diamond. Everything was set with DiorSkin Nude...
