Review: Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Coverage Foundation Concentrate

01 May 2017

When I posted my favorite beauty products overseas (I’m currently staying at my family in the Netherlands), I mentioned the foundation I’ve been using. For the past couple of months, I’ve been using the Re(marc)able Full Coverage Foundation by Marc Jacobs. A lot of you asked me how I like it and if it’s worth buying. Coincidentally, I was already planning on writing a full review on it, so here it is. 😀

Re(marc)able is a $55 foundation (yup, it’s pricey) and is available at Sephora and on Marc Jacob’s beauty website, where they’re currently having a Friends & Family Sale. I wear shade: 52 Honey Light, which is described as a ‘deep with yellow undertones’.

I LOVE this foundation, it’s full coverage, has a nice finish, contains no parabens, sulfates or phthalates and is oil free. I have super sensitive skin and fortunately, it doesn’t break me out.

There are a few things that I think you should know before buying it though. 😉 Keep reading to find out why you may NOT want to try this foundation!

How’s it described:
An innovative foundation that delivers instant full coverage in a single dot—for less foundation for more coverage that lasts up to 24 hours.

This revolutionary formula offers twice as much pigment as a leading full-coverage foundation, but in an oil-free base that blends instantly across the complexion to completely cover pores, blemishes, and other imperfections with the thinnest possible layer that lasts up to 24 hours. All foundations are composed of two parts: pigment and ingredients to carry the pigment to the skin.

I have oily, blemished skin; I did not blot before taking this pic.

What you need to know
• The formula of this foundation is different: it has A LOT of pigment (twice as much as other full-coverage foundations). The pigments are made of golden mica and give you a more radiant, natural-looking glow.

• It’s easy to blend, BUT you have to use a small dot at a time and blend as fast as you can before it dries. If you use too much, it will not look good. Just shake, dot your face with the special applicator and blend!

It has a unique dot applicator (not a pump).

• When used right, Re(marc)able gives you a beautiful finish. It’s matte, but when your natural oils start coming through, you’ll get a soft, natural-looking glow.

• It’s full-coverage (perfect if you have acne or dark spots, like I do) and great for oily and combination skin. I have very oily skin myself and I wouldn’t recommend it for dry skin. All you need is a thin layer and it will last all day.

Where to buy
You can find the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Coverage Foundation Concentrate at Sephora and on Marc Jacob’s beauty website. It retails for $55 for 0.75 oz/22 mL (this is less than the regular 1 fl. oz., by the way). It’s expensive, but I love the way this foundation makes my skin look. I would definitely repurchase. 🙂

Marc Jacobs Beauty is having their Friends & Family Sale right now: you get 20% off your entire purchase! Check it out here and use code “MJBFRIENDS” at checkout for the discount.
