Here is some NEW Wet n Wild Photo Focus makeup you HAVE to try!
30 Mar 2017
Long time no see! In the time I was away, the kids and I flew to Europe to spend some time with grandma and grandpa before my eldest starts kindergarten. We’re actually still here (in The Netherlands, to be exact); will be staying here for a little while. 🙂
Today I want to tell you about these awesome new products that Wet n Wild released not that long ago. These are all permanent items that have been added to the existing line at drugstores, grocery stores, and mass retailers. They are definitely not limited edition.
I’ve been trying these products for about a month now (maybe longer) and I really like them! Each of these really lives up to its claim and they’re all very affordable and easily accessible if you’re in the US. Yas! 😀
• Photo Focus Setting Spray $4.99
• Photo Focus Pressed Powder in “Tan” and “Cocoa” $4.99
• Photo Focus Foundation in “Amber Beige” $5.99
• Photo Focus Concealer in “Medium Peach” and Med/Deep Tan $3.99
• Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liners $2.99
Swatches of ‘Cocoa’ (left) and ‘Tan’ (right)
I’ll start with the Photo Focus Pressed Powders. They’re are super finely mild, but not powdery. They leave a nice finish and are not cakey. I’ve been using each as a finishing powder (under eyes and all over, on top of the matching Foundation) and it looks very natural. Great buy!
Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation in ‘Amber Beige’
The Photo Focus Foundation is my absolute favorite drugstore foundation to date! I was sooo surprised by it. I wasn’t expecting much when I bought it, to be honest, because of its low price tag, so you can imagine how happy I am to have tried it. I have it in the shade Amber Beige, which is comparable to NC43 in MAC, I would say, but more on the neutral side.
Swatch of ‘Amber Beige’
It has a buildable, medium coverage, a matte finish and is long lasting. For someone with my skin type (very oily), this is perfect! Doesn’t emphasize pores or fine lines and there’s no flashback in pictures either. It comes in 20 shades (!); 7 of these are definitely targeted at women of color, with “Mahogany” being the darkest.
Swatch of Med/Deep Tan (on the left) and Medium Peach (on the right)
The Photo Focus Concealer is just as good as the foundation! No white-cast, good coverage and minimum creasing. It comes in 6 shades and I have two of them. Med/Deep Tan is a little bit too dark and Medium Peach is light, but great for color correcting.
These Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liners are actually the only items I didn’t bring with me on this trip, they are not part of the Photo Focus line. I do like these though! They are very smooth and soft. They also don’t fade quickly.
Have you seen these new items by Wet n Wild Beauty in stores yet? If so, did you pick something up?
