Mommy review: SoCozy hair products for kids (and a sweepstake!)
07 Feb 2017
Both my kids were born with a full head of hair. My 4-year-old son has thick straight hair, whereas his sister (who will be 5 months in a few days) has more fine, curly hair. One thing they have in common: they both have A LOT of hair! For this reason, I make sure to use good products on their hair; products they use at (kids) salons. For Mason’s hair I’ve been using SoCozy.
Mason has been using SoCozy’s Boing Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave-In Spray. Seems like a lot for a boy who’s only 4 years old, but he doesn’t mind. The products don’t sting his eyes, he likes playing with the colorful bottles and he likes how shiny they products make his hair look. And of course, his mom really appreciates the fact that the brand does not use harsh chemicals. 😉 All their products are made without parabens, formaldehyde, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene glycol. They are also free of alcohol, gluten, wheat, peanuts and tree nuts. My favorite is the Leave-In Conditioner: it has jojoba oil, olive oil, vitamin B, vegetable protein, and beeswax. Good stuff!
SoCozy offers different lines for different hair types. We’ve used the ‘Cinch’ line in the past (review here) and now we use Boing, which is meant for curly hair. Like I mentioned above, my son has straight hair (he’s part Asian), but these products actually work really well on his hair! They are formulated for curly hair, which mainly means that they’re made to preserve hair’s natural moisture balance and infuse it with extra moisture. The result is frizz-free hair that is super soft and shiny.
If you have kids, check out SoCozy hair products for kids at Target, CVS or Walgreens. We use the ‘Boing’ collection: Boing Shampoo, Boing Conditioner, Boing Leave-In Spray, each $12.95.
