KIKO Cosmetics Rotterdam is now open!
15 Jun 2015
Friday, June 12 was the day for beauty addicts in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. It was the day when KIKO Cosmetics, originally from Italy, opened the doors of their second store in The Netherlands. After opening a store in Amstelveen in November of last year, it was now time for the south west of the country as well.
KIKO Milano is a very popular, professional cosmetics brand. It was founded in 1997 in Milan, Italy. They now have over 600 stores across Europe and if you live in Europe, you can also order online. They’ve recently also opened their 5th store in the US. I was there for the opening of the new Rotterdam Alexandrium store and I took some pictures for you guys to see! I also picked up a few goodies, which I’m showing you today as well.
The Rotterdam store is located in the Alexandrium mall in the east side of the city. I had never been to a KIKO makeup store before, so I had no idea what to expect. I was happy to see a really nice, bright and colorful store, with very helpful (and not pushy!) employees. It was a little overwhelming, to be honest. Mostly because it was crowded in the store and I wasn’t all that familiar with the brand. I had heard a lot of about it, but I had never owned a KIKO product before. Everything was new to me.
This is how the store looks like. There were lots of yummy goodies to check out, as you can see! 🙂 Tons of nail products, different kind of mascaras, lip products in every finish and shape, every type of eyeshadow you can imagine etc.! Besides makeup, KIKO also offer skin care, tools, accessories and lots more. Seriously, a makeup addict’s paradise! One thing I noticed is that everything is really affordable. Affordable, but not ‘cheap. The brand looks very luxurious and expensive. If you’re a sucker for nice packaging, definitely check out KIKO! See more pictures below. All prices are in EURO of course.
My mini haul
Of course I picked up a few goodies! Everything was neatly organized in the store and there were lots of testers and samples to try. Because it was the first day, it was very crowded. I didn’t get a chance to really browse around, but I’ll definitely be back for more! Any products suggestions are very welcome. 🙂
The products all come in nice, black boxes.
I picked up these three items.
Of course I, as an oily girl, have to try their Mat Base Corrector Primer (€8.90).
And I wouldn’t be a true lipstick lover, if I didn’t grab a lippie.
How beautiful is this bullet?
I picked up a Velvet Matte lipstick (€6.90) in the shade ‘609’.
I also purchased their Invisible Lip Liner (€5.90). I’ll be reviewing it soon.
Have you tried out KIKO Cosmetics before? Did you order online or do you have a store in your area? Let me know in the comments, I would love to know!
