My new prescription glasses from Firmoo
13 Jun 2015
I’m super excited, because I’m showing you my new prescription glasses today! 🙂 You might not know this, but I’m as blind as a bat. I wear contacts most of the time, but when I’m at home or when my allergies kick in (like now, for example), I prefer to wear glasses. I change my frames about every two years, just to keep things excited for myself.
Real talk: I don’t like seeing myself with glasses and I think that they are a pain in the butt when you wear makeup regularly (they tend to mess up my foundation on my nose and my eyelashes always tend to hit the glasses), but sometimes they are just more comfortable that contact lenses! And of course, if you have to wear glasses, you might has well wear cute ones, right? Check out the ones I got below!
The glasses I have are by Firmoo, you can find them online only. They are the Unisex full frame eyeglasses ‘F047’ in the color blue and they retail for $36. This is actually my second pair from Firmoo, you can see my other pair here. I like ordering from them, cause it’s soooo easy. As long as you’ve recently had an eye exam done, know your prescription strength and your PD (the distance in millimeters between the centers of the pupils in each eye), you’re good!

Prescription glasses from Firmoo are very affordable and there are a lot of add-ons to choose from, just like in a regular store. My glasses are processed with 1.57 thin and light lenses with anti-reflection and anti-UV coatings. The frames themselves are plastic. The quality is actually pretty good, especially considering the price. They feel strong, but if you have small children, be careful of course. I especially like the color (I wanted something different!) and how big the lenses are.
Like last time, I was pretty impressed with how fast I received my glasses! I placed my order on May 20 and received an order confirmation in my mailbox right after I placed my order. Two days later my order status was updating to ‘waiting for lens’ and a couple of hours after that I got an email saying that my glasses were being processed. Then, on May 26, my order was shipped. I received them on June 1. Mind you, I believe the lenses are made in China. It always takes a while for packages to reach me, because I live in Nevada. All in all, I received my order in about 10 days, which is pretty fast!
The glasses come in a nice, sturdy case wrapped in a microfiber soft lens cloth. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with my order. 🙂
