“Balm Chicky Balm Balm” lip balms, now available at Target

15 Apr 2015

About 2 years ago I received and reviewed a set of all-natural lip balms, inspired by the ’70s, called Balm Chicky Balm Balm. I really enjoyed these lip balms: they were very moisturizing, smelled delicious and came in sexy tubes that featured foxy ladies from the ’70s. What was also cool, is that each tube had a friend end that was designed to let you share your lip balm with others without sharing germs. Very unique, as I had never seen this concept before! Back then you could only find these lip balms online and in select stores. Click here to find my original review.

So now, 2 years later, Balm Chicky is still going strong! After appearing on the tv show Shark Tank on February 3 of this year (you can watch the episode on YouTube), they now have a major announcement. As you can tell from the title of this post, the brand has been picked up by Target Stores nationwide. Yep, you can now find Balm Chicky Balm Balm at your local Target!

A Balm Chicky Balm Balm lip balm retails for only $7 now. They lowered the price, which is crazy to me, because a Chicky Balm contains 3 times the balm as a regular tube: 0.38 oz/11g. All flavors now have a new packaging (still very retro) and they still have the same moisturizing formula and the same friend end, so you can still share yours with someone else if you need to. Just flip it over and there’s a hinged snap cap which contains a separate stash of balm, where they can dip their finger into. Check it out on the pictures below.

Two years ago the only person who would bug me for my lip balm was my husband. Our son was just a baby back then. Now, he is almost 3 years old and every time he sees me apply my Balm Chicky Balm Balm, he asks me for it… Now I really understand why they invented the ‘friend end’. Haha! 😀

Check out more pictures of the new packaging below. Part of me is sad that they got rid of the foxy ladies (the ‘Hot Chocolate Love’ lady was fierce, if you remember), but these new tubes are pretty cute too!

“Wild Mountain Honey & Clementine”

All Balm Chicky Balm Balm bases are all-natural, made with the following ingredients: organic extra virgin olive oil, organic palm oil and organic hemp seed oil, beeswax, rosemary extract and vitamin E. They retail for $7 each (0.38 oz/11g) and come in 5 flavors:

*Huge Cucumber & Mint
*Wild Mountain Honey & Clementine
*Sweet Baby Ginger
*Hot Chocolate Love
*Juicy Melon

I really like Wild Mountain Honey & Clementine, but my favorite flavor is still Juicy Melons! You can buy these ’70s inspired lip balms online (with free shipping) and at Target stores. Click here to find a store near you.

I’ve received these products for free in exchange for an unbiased review.
