Review: Wet n Wild Fergie Centerstage collection Around-the-Clock Blush (NEW)

25 Feb 2015

Wet n Wild has recently come out with 3 new blushes that are permanent additions to their Fergie collection and are sold exclusively at Walgreens. I wasn’t planning on purchasing these, since I have too many blushes as it is, but I was at Walgreens a week ago and there was one particular blush that caught my eye. It’s ‘Brush with Brilliance’, a peachy pink with little specks of gold shimmer. Beautiful! And so it miraculous ended up in my shopping basket… oops! 😀

What it is:
The 3 new Wet n Wild blushes are called the ‘Around-The-Clock’ blushes and are part of the Fergie Centerstage collection. They are:

Brush with Danger: a blue-toned, bubblegum pink matte
Brush with Destiny: a bronzy peach with golden shimmer
Brush with Brilliance: a peachy pink with little specks of gold shimmer

What attracted me to these blushes was not only the shade, but also the ‘up to 10 hours‘ claim on the label. As you know my skin is very oily and most drugstore blushes fade on me after a couple of hours. Sometimes they disappear even. I was curious to see if that would be the case for these. The shade Brush with Brilliance is a little brighter than the other two shades and looked like it would show up on my skin tone.

My thoughts:
This blush definitely does show up on me and it is beautiful! It’s pigmented, not the most pigmented blush I own, but it’s pigmented and definitely buildable. It’s more peach than pink on me, which I love! I have a lot of pink blushes, so I’m happy to have one that’s peach. It has gold shimmer in it, but on the skin it’s hardly noticeable.

It’s a finely-milled blush that’s a little powdery when you first dip your brush in it, but on the cheeks it’s very smooth and soft-looking. It does not super emphasize my (large) pores. And here’s the best part: it actually lasts on my oily skin, with NO primer or porefiller! At the end of the day I still see it on my cheeks, which is pretty impressive!

Where to buy:
You can find Wet n Wild’s Around The-Clock blushes at Walgreens. They are NOT sold anywhere else, but are not limited edition either: they are a permanent addition to the Fergie line. They contain 0.2 oz/5.8 g, which is a decent amount of product. The compact does not include a brush, so it’s not bulky. The blushes retail for $4.99 each.

What do you think? 🙂
