Easy and Romantic Valentine’s Day Hair (courtesy of Head & Shoulders Moisture Care)

13 Feb 2015

Are you going on a romantic date for Valentine’s Day? Or are you keeping it simple and staying in for dinner? Either way, you have to look good, right? Because nobody wants to spend hours getting ready (who has time for that?), I’m coming to you today with a pretty Valentine’s Day hair and makeup look, that’s quick and easy to do! To prep my hair I used Head & Shoulder’s new Moisture Care collection.

When you’re doing your hair for Valentine’s Day, what you need are good hair products! Flaky hair, itchy dry scalp…that’s not a pretty look, especially on this special day. I’ve been using Head & Shoulder’s Moisture Care collection line, specifically formulated for textured hair. This collection includes a shampoo, a 2-in-1 conditioner and shampoo, a co-wash and scalp soother. These products make your hair feel really soft and instantly moisturize your scalp.

Here is why I think this collection is great:

♥ Each product in this collection contains pyrithione zinc (ZPT), which is a dandruff-fighting ingredient leaving you flake-free.
♥ ZPT works as a barrier against scalp irritants and also helps improve natural moisture.
♥ Contains vitamin E, almond oil and coconut essence, which provide moisture for scalp and hair immediately and over time.
♥ Each product is very creamy and moisturizing, even the shampoo, making it easy for you to detangle your hair
♥ You can smell the almond oil and coconut and I love it. 🙂

For my Valentine’s Day hair I washed my hair with the 2-in-1 Conditioner. I love products like this, because it’s quick and easy to use. It cuts your shower time in half. Some 2in1’s only moisturize your hair though and don’t actually get rid of dirt and oil. This one by Head & Shoulders does both: my hair feels moisturized and clean. I use a lot of oils in my hair, so it’s a keeper!

When I got out of the shower I used the Scalp Soother. It comes in a small bottle with a pump. The Scalp Soother contains peppermint oil complex that cools the scalp (gives you that calming relief if your scalp is itchy) and improves moisture balance. It also has ProVitamin E (an antioxidant), ProVitamin B5 (enhances the appearance and feel of your hair) and ProVitamin B3 (used for moisture benefits). I just it spray on my scalp and massage it in. It works great in between washes, but also on wet hair. I love how it tingles.

My easy romantic Valentine’s Day hair style is a simple, romantic side braid over the shoulder, as you can see. Very quick to do, yet very polished and romantic-looking. The focus for me is healthy, beautiful and flake-free hair! Hair that’s very soft to the touch. 🙂
