Giveaway! Win a Salt Scrub & Lotion from Key West Aloe, pick from Coconut, Key Lime or Frangipani

05 Feb 2015

Yes, it’s giveaway time! Even though it’s still snowing in some parts of the country, here in Las Vegas the weather has been almost Spring like. Love it! Can’t wait for actual Spring and Summer. To get you (and myself!) in the mood, I thought it would be nice to give away some of my tropical skin care favorites. 🙂

I’m giving away two full-size products from Key West Aloe, a company based in, you guessed it…Key West, Florida! Key West Aloe makes luxuriously scented products and fragrances and they were the first company to use Aloe Vera as the foundation for all their products. Today I’ll be reviewing their Salt Scrub in the scent Key Lime and its matching same scent Moisturizing Lotion. Check out my review below and see how you can WIN these products!

Key West Aloe Vera Dead Sea Salt Scrub Moisturizing Lotion Lime

How they’re described (source):

Key Lime Salt Scrub: Rich in oils and loaded with dead sea salt, our Key Lime Salt Scrub exfoliates, soften, revitalizes and polishes dry skin. We start with a unique blend of 100% Lab Certified Aloe Vera, mineral rich Dead Sea salt and naturally emollient shea, mango and cocoa butter. This exclusive formula is then infused with sunflowers, avocado and coconut oils to replenish, soften and hydrate thirsty skin, leaving it super soft, silky and smooth to touch. Our Salt Scrub can be used all over the body and is particularly excellent for rough areas such as knees and elbows. Follow up this scrub with our Key Lime Moisturizing Lotion.

Key Lime Moisturizing Lotion: Our zesty Key Lime Moisturizing Lotion is made with 50% Aloe Vera and Vitamin E. THis lightweight, quickly absorbing body lotion is ideal for all skin types. The unique formula will provide long lasting smoothness. Because it’s fast absorbing, this lotion can be used daily, even right before dressing. Use this product combined with other Key Lime scented products to receive its full benefits.

My thoughts:
These products were sent to me for review purposes, but I’ll definitely be purchasing them myself once I run out. I love them! As you guys know I’m a tropical girl and anything with that ‘Key Lime’ scent gets my attention. I love the way this scrub and lotion smell! They make me feel like I’m on vacation, which is always a good thing. 😉

My skin (especially my legs) gets very dry (I blame it on genetics, but also on the chlorine faucet water here in the US) and I feel like the salt scrub is perfect for it. Like the description says: it leaves my skin feeling really soft, silky and smooth. I use it in combination with an exfoliating glove and when I come out of shower I feel like a newborn baby, so soft! See how to use it below:

The salt in it is mineral rich Dead Sea salt. I prefer salt scrubs over sugar scrubs, because sugars scrubs grow bacteria and mold and salt scrubs don’t. I love that it contains great ingredients as well. It of course has Aloe Vera in it (100% Lab Certified, I was told), but it also has Shea, Mango and cocoa butters and sunflower, avocado and coconut oils. I can definitly tell! I mean, just check out these close-ups, doesn’t it look yummy?

When I step out of the shower, I grab for the matching moisturizing lotion, even though I don’t even feel like I have to (my skin already feels moisturized after using the scrub!). However, it’s nice to use because the lotion is lightweight, gets absorbed easily and smells exactly like the scrub. It’s such a delicious and FRESH smelling scent: if I had a matching fragrance, I would use that too. Hihi! 😀

  1. both scents sound good. I haven’t tried the frangipani yet but key lime smells good to me. I would think either one – loved your review – even better than I thought it would be – would like to try them out, the salt scrub and the lotion – also your review was informative as I didn’t know that about the salt scrub. love aloe vera and scented products from Key West Aloe – also like the photos – thank you

  2. I’d choose Key Lime.

  3. I’m dying to know what a scent named Frangipani would smell like (I don’t even know what that is). After checking out the website and seeing the reviews on the scent, if I win, I’d like to try that scent. I like the uniqueness of the name, so I hope it doesn’t smell like anything I already have.

  4. Aloe is a miraculous plant

I’ve used several Key West Aloe products in the past and have loved them all. Have yet to try the salt scrub, and I would also like the Key Lime scent to feel like I’m on vacation.

I think I’d like to try the Frangipani scent simply because of the uniqueness of the scent name, to me anyway. Thanks for such a great review. I’ve not tried any products from this line so I’d be so excited to win and get to do do. Also, the fb page has not had a post since 2013 and are we to add them as a friend? Thanks do much.

  9. I would like to try the Frangipani though the Key Lime would be great as well.

  10. Frangipani sounds good

  11. They all sound so good, but I think I’d go with the coconut!

I can’t decide — both the Key Lime and Coconut sound wonderful.

  15. Frangipani just sounds like a very interesting scent. I am not a big fan of Coconut, and Key Lime always makes me think of pie. Not that smelling like a pie is bad.

  16. Coconut is my fave
