Beauty tip: Vitamin C serum for face (my favorite is by New Radiance Naturals)
28 Jan 2015
As you probably already know, for the last couple of months I’ve been using Vitamin C on my face at night. It has helped my skin a lot as it’s been looking much better! Much brighter! There are different kinds of Vitamin C and ascorbic acid is the most used form of Vitamin C in skin care products. It also has the most research of any form when it comes to benefits for skin. In today’s post I’ll tell you how I’ve been using Vitamin C, which form I’ve been using and why I love it so much. It has helped me achieve younger, healthier and more radiant skin by fading my acne scars. If you’re interested in maybe adding it to your skin care routine, keep reading!
Vitamin C has been said to:
– Reduce the appearance of brown spots and other types of sun damage
– Helps boost healthy collagen production (hello, firmer skin!)
– Reduce inflammation and irritation, both of which cause a cascade of damage
– Fade post-breakout red marks by improving skin’s natural healing response
– Increase the effectiveness of your sunscreens and boosts your skins defense against UV exposure
Other effective forms of Vitamin C are Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Retinyl Ascorbate, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate and Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate. When you’re checking out ingredient lists, look out for Ascorbic Acid or any of these mentioned!
What I’ve been using

How I use it:
I have been using this Vitamin C Serum for a little while now. It contains no parabens, no sulfates, no gluten, no alcohol and no phthalates. This serum is 98% natural, 72% organic and 100% plant based. Like I mentioned before: I’ve been loving Vitamin C serums and have used several other brands in the past. I prefer this one by the New Radiance Naturals, because there is no scent and it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on my skin. It’s watery and get absorbs into my skin easily. I apply it at night and I use about 6 drops each time. It’s not irritating, does not feel like it’s drying out my skin or making it oilier. I feel like the fine lines around my eyes (oh, how I hate them!) are less visible, my acne scars are almost all gone and my face definitely looks brighter, like it’s ‘glowing’ from within. Like I said, I have tried several brands of Vitamin C Serum and this one is is my favorite because of its consistency and effectiveness. It’s also pretty affordable.
