My current favorite things: beauty, home, office etc!

17 Jan 2015

Long time no see, huh? It’s been a few days. I honestly don’t know how some people can blog every single day, all the time. Even though I LOVE blogging, some days I simply don’t know what to write about. Sometimes it feels like everything’s been done and people are just repeating themselves or copying each other.
I try my hardest to be somewhat original. In my opinion, nothing is worse that stealing someone else’s ideas or content. Of course, I cover a lot of the same topics as other bloggers, but I try to use other posts as inspiration and then put my own spin to it. And sometimes I just need a break.

I took a few days of to ‘refuel’ myself. I got tired of always having to think what to write about, always having to find new ways to grow my blog, how to make money, get traffic etc. Blogging takes up a lot of time and isn’t easy. Sometimes the business part gets in the way of the creative and I forget why I started blogging in the first place: because it’s fun and I enjoy writing about things that interest me. So I took a few days off and focused on myself, my family and my home.

But I’m back now! Woohoo! And I thought I would share some of my current favorite things: beauty, but also home and office.

Initial mugs

Love these mugs I found at Ross. So stylish! They remind me of the ones that Starbucks came out with for the Holidays, except those have gold ears and are more expensive. I love that these were inexpensive (a few dollars each, I believe) and still are microwave- and dishwasher save. Yes, this is important to me, because I hate doing dishes…

2015 Planner

Last year I didn’t get a planner and I regretted it. As much as I love my phone (I use its calendar and I keep lists on it), nothing beats an old-fashion planner. Not only for appointments and birthdays, but also for to-do lists, wish lists, blog topic ideas and post scheduling. I purchased this planner at Ross as well. It says: ‘Believe and your dreams will come true’. Corny, but I like it.

Liquid lipsticks

You guys know I love me some lipstick! Lately I’ve been really into liquid lipsticks, especially these by Too Faced (the Melted Liquified Long Wearing Lipsticks) and L.A. Girl (Glazed Lip Paints). I’ve found that paired with a lip liner, these suckers stay on for hours. They’re comfortable on the lips and are very pigmented. Love!

La Petite Robe Noir by Guerlain

This fragrance was a birthday gift from my hubby last year. It’s La Petite Robe Noir by Guerlain. It’s my everyday fragrance, I love it! It smells fresh, floral and fruity, all at the same time. However, it’s not too sweet and not too strong… it’s just right! The bottle is beautiful. It reminds me of Summer in Paris, which happens to be my favorite city in the world!

Bath & Body Works forever Red body cream

This is the one and only Bath & Body Works (B&BW) products I have right now. I used to be obsessed with B&BW, they got me every single time with their ridiculous sales. I haven’t been in one of the stores in over a year now, as I’ve been trying to finish the products I was stockpiling in my bathroom. Shower gels, body sprays, body lotions, I had tons of it! I think BB&W products are ok, but I’m just a little ‘over it’.

That’s all for now. Hope you’re having a great weekend! 🙂

  1. Ha ha I’m over B&BW too! I used to be obsessed – you must remember that huge haul I did years ago! Well now I own 2 hand washes and that’s it. I feel like their stuff is for the younger crowd everything smells way too sweet for me now.
