How to keep your toddler from getting into your makeup: get a key-locked makeup train case!
10 Jun 2014
If you’re into makeup like I am, you know that stuff gets expensive! I have never really kept track of the money I’ve spent on makeup and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to do that. I would just shock me! I also have no idea what the value is of my current makeup collection. There are people who know exactly how much their makeup is worth (for insurance purposes), but I’m not one of them. I’ll probably end up crying in the corner if I’d ever find out. The last couple of years I’ve been using more high end products than drugstore, so yeah, it’s a lot of money…
For the last almost two years a lot of my makeup have been injured or have died. If you have small kids, I probably shouldn’t have to explain this. Nail imprints in my powder compacts, squashed lipsticks, spilled nail polishes… You name it. There’s literally nothing that my toddler hasn’t tried to put his hands on!
When my son almost got his hands on my expensive Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, I thought enough is enough! And when I received this key-locked makeup train case (with the emphasis on KEY-LOCKED!) to review from thesalonoutlet.com, I knew exactly what I was going to use it for! Not to travel with (I’m not a makeup artist), but to store most of my makeup collection in at home! Finally a place where my toddler can’t get into! *evil laugh*
I haven’t filled it up yet, but as you can see on the picture below it fits a ton and it’s super sturdy . I plan on storing my eyeshadow quads in there, expensive perfume bottles, pretty blushes, limited edition lipsticks, liquid foundations, you name it! I ain’t playing! I will do a follow up post when I’m all done organizing, just to show you how it will all look.
This is awesome train case to have! Not just for professionals, but also for makeup ‘enthusiasts’ like myself. First of all, it’s very strong and sleek looking. It has an aluminum frame with strong reinforced corners. It looks like it could survive a fire and an earthquake. LOL! I myself love the silver outside and and the nylon lined interior. It’s very well well made! Even my husband noticed this (and he’s a snob when it comes to a lot of things….).
Secondly, it has a lock, like I already mentioned, and it comes with 2 keys. Woot woot! I love that about it. I don’t have to worry about Mason touching my stuff or the babysitter even. I’m going to keep its key together with my house keys. Yes, people…makeup is THAT important to me! LOL!
What I also like is that it has 2 extendable tiers that can be divided into smaller trays. It also has removable dividers (so I can organize and customize all I want), a heavy duty handle and a shoulder strap, so I can lug it round the house as I please. I’m sure you can imagine that I can’t wait to play with it!
You can find this train case at thesalonoutlet.com. It’s the Silver Key-locked Makeup Train Case with Compartment and it retails for $ 49.99. It comes in other colors too. Click here for shade options and exact dimensions. The Salon Outlet ships everything for free (UPS).
