Just wanted to let you know that if you missed out on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, like I did when it first came out (it sold out in no time!), it’s permanently available at Sephora.com and on the Hourglass website. It’s been permanent since April and for now it’s just available online, but starting from June you can purchase it at Sephora stores as well. Because this is a very popular palette, I wanted to dedicate a post to it. Also, I think it will make a very nice (Mother’s Day) gift!
This palette is a trio of Hourglass’ best-selling Ambient Lighting Powders. Isn’t it beautiful? These are finishing powders (you apply them on top of your foundation or bb creme) that ‘create your perfect light': each of the high-tech, soft-focus finishing powders recreates an exquisitely flattering light source. The powders can be applied individually or layered to imbue skin with a multidimensional glow.
This is how Hourglass describes this palette:
Powders capture, diffuse and soften the way light is reflected on skin, brighten the appearance, and conceal imperfections, pores and wrinkles. Unlike traditional finishing powders that use opaque pigments, Ambient utilizes Photoluminescent Technology—micron-size, soft-focus particles that refract light and create transparent coverage. The powders can be applied individually or layered to imbue skin with a multidimensional glow. Universal powders make them suitable for every skin tone, and they can be worn for day and night. source
These are the shades in this palette and their finish:
Dim Light: a neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with a balance of warm and cool tones.
Incandescent Light: a pearlescent powder that highlights the cheekbones and brightens the complexion with a celestial glow (exclusive to palette!).
Radiant Light: a sun-kissed golden beige powder that enhances the overall complexion with believable, subtle warmth (review here).

This palette is HIGH on my wishlist and when I finally get it, I will of course post a review. I already own the shade on the right of this palette, which is ‘Radiant Light’ and I absolutely love it! It makes my skin look like I just came back from vacationing on Barbados… You can read my full review, including pictures and swatches HERE. I’m excited to play with this palette! The shade in the middle (‘Incandescent Light’) is completely new and not available separately, so that one will be fun to try.
