Today it’s all about Essence again! I mention Essence all the time on my blog. I recently did a comparison review on Essence’s All About Matt Fixing Compact Powder and Wet N Wild’s Mattifying Powder and came to the conclusion that both did an equally awesome job of getting rid of my shiny t-zone (full review here). Essence is a fun and affordable brand that constantly surprises me!
Last year when I shared the news of the European brand becoming available at Ulta stores, some of you were saying that there’s no Ulta where you live. Well, you can stop being sad, because Essence is now available in select Walgreens stores! I received the press release below in my mail box and I thought I’d share.
ESSENCE COSMETICS – NOW AVAILABLE IN SELECT WALGREENS LOCATIONS
essence cosmetics wants to give you access to great products that will inspire you to express who you are with style, confidence and fun. visit one of our participating Walgreens locations near you to explore the new spring collection.
essence cosmetics, the #1 value cosmetics brand in the world, is known for high-quality products at incredible prices ($0.99 – $4.99). featuring a wide range of fun and fashionable items, essence carries on-trend lipsticks, lip glosses, eye shadows, mascaras, nail polishes, and nail art. in addition to its standard range, essence releases new and unique limited editions every season.
I’ve recently purchased two Essence eye shadow palettes that are really nice! One is called All About Nude and the other one is called All about Sunrise. They both retail for just € 3,59.
Essence All About Nude
Essence All About Sunrise
I haven’t played with them that much, but after using them a couple of times I am pleasantly surprised! The shadows are all quite pigmented and blend very well. And I love the color combinations, they’re right up my alley. Truly a drugstore gem!
Today I used the ‘All About Nude’ palette, which is beautiful. All shades in this palette have a purple-ish hue, love it! Even though it’s called ‘nude’, but it doesn’t have grey and brown shadows like you would expect.
Scroll down to see how I did my makeup today and which other products I used. Can’t wait to play with these palettes some more!

I’m not sure if these particular palettes are out yet in the US, but Essence is available at Ulta and select Walgreens.
