My ‘FOTD’ (and a peek at my makeup storage here in Holland)

This post is going to be a little all over the place. My FOTD (‘face of the day‘), which products I used, how I store my makeup while staying in Holland and more. Oops! 😀 I’ve been extremely under the weather this past week. Just haven’t been feeling well: headaches, stomach aches, body aches, sore throat…I’ve had it all. This explains the lack of blog posts. Combine that with having to take care of a very active toddler… Yeah!
So on Saturday I was feeling a little better, but I still didn’t feel like going outside and doing stuff. So I put my hair up, threw on some makeup (makeup always makes me feel better!), found my coziest hoodie (it says ‘San Francisco’, got it where I lived there 4 years ago) and caught up on the latest season on Shameless in my brother’s room.
Anyone else who watches Shameless? I love it! Just when you think you’ve seen it all, it gets worse. And it’s funny too. It’s on Showtime, every Sunday. Great show!
Anyway, while binge-watching snapped a few pics for my Instagram, posted one and decided to posts the others here. Of course they don’t show my makeup all that great, but you get the idea.

Very natural, as you can see, but I still used a ton of products. Funny how that works! 😀

K Wet ‘n Wild Fergie Take on The Day Eye Shadow Primer
L Sleek Contour Kit in ‘Medium’ (pictured above, together with my blush)

And this is where I’ve been storing my makeup while staying with my parents. Didn’t feel like keeping everything in my makeup bag (hard to find things sometimes, especially when you’re in a rush!), so I was looking for an inexpensive and practical way to temporarily keep things.
I found these metal makeup tins at a discount store here in Holland called Big Bazar. They were super cheap (less than 2 euro each, I believe). I keep them in the bathroom and they’ve been working out pretty well!

If you’re looking for something cute to store some of your makeup/nail polish (and you’re in Holland), check these out. I myself bought two, cause of course one wouldn’t fit everything…

“get the natural look” Step one, use 27 different products 😉

I should show you my makeup “storage” situation… it’s a travesty.

  2. I know, it’s ridiculous! I’ll be the first one to admit it…. I guess I meant ‘nude’ look, meaning I didn’t use any bright colors? lol
