Face of the Day ft. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder (amazing!)
14 Mar 2014
I’m giving away a $50 gift certificate to Midnight Velvet to spend on fashion, jewelry, shoes and home decor. Go here for details.
A couple of days ago I posted this picture below of me and my little sunshine on my Instagram (you can find me there under Kizzyonline). Besides his cute face, I also noticed how my face was glowing! First I thought it was the filter I added (I love instagram filters!), but then I remembered… It was the Ambient Lighting Powder by Hourglass that I applied that morning! My skin is usually kinda glowing (oily skin…grr!), but this type of ‘glowing’ looks totally different. Move out the way JLo! It’s all about the Hourglass glow now! 😉
Scroll down for my makeup breakdown. In tomorrow’s post will tell you more about this Ambient Lighting Powder (which particular shade it is, I’ll swatch it, tell you how I use it, how long it wears etc). This powder isn’t that visible in real life, but in pictures… woohaa! I can totally see me using the heck out of it in the Summer.
Here are the deets of my complete face.
-Black Radiance Complexion Perfection Shine Control Primer
-MAC Pro Longwear Foundation in NC45 (still working on finishing this damn bottle..)
-Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light
-Model in a Bottle Setting Spray Matte Finish
-Wet n Wild Fergie ‘Take On The Day’ Eyeshadow Primer
-Make Up For Ever Wild & Chic Eye Shadow Palette (I’ve been liking this palette a lot, the shadows are all matte, yet easy to blend)
-Jordana 12 HR Made To Last Liquid Eyeliner Pencil (in my waterline)
-CoverGirl Bombshell Intensity Liner in Pitch Black Passion
-CoverGirl Bombshell Volume Mascara in Very Black (the huge one with two brushes)
My review on this powder will be up tomorrow —-Update: it’s up, you can find it here. 🙂
-MAC Blush in Hot Nights (from the Temperature Rising collection)
Nothing! My lips have been incredibly dry and chapped lately, so I’ve been slapping on lip balm and calling it a day…
What do you think? Is this ‘glow’ too much of a good thing?
