It’s time for my monthly favorites! These are products (both makeup and skin care) that I’ve been enjoying a lot in the past month. If you’ve been following me, you know that I’m currently visiting my family in The Netherlands (Holland). This means that I’m mainly just using the stuff I brought with me in my suitcase, which was kinda limited.
But of course I wouldn’t be Kizzy if I also hadn’t purchased a few things here! I’m always curious to try out new things, especially when I’m in a different country, even if it’s my home country. I’ve listed my favorite products below, in no particular order. Also, check out my mom’s snazzy tablecloth, she made it herself years ago. 🙂
Garnier Oogreinigingslotion Express 2in1
For those who don’t speak Dutch: this is Garnier’s waterproof eye makeup remover. I had brought coconut oil with me on this trip to use as an eye makeup remover, but it didn’t work for me. Surprisingly it irritated the skin around my eyes badly… 🙁 After trying three times, I gave up and got this eye makeup remover from the drugstore instead. I’m happy I did, cause it’s awesome! No burning, no irritated skin, no oily residue, yet very effective with very little effort! I’m sticking with this for a while.
Dr Van Der Hoog Quick Pure 3 Minute Masker Met Rozemarijn Extract
This is a 3 minute facial mask with rosemary extract. I love Dr Van der Hoog products! It’s a Dutch brand and I wish they would expand to the US already… This mask is perfect to use in the shower, it only takes 3 minutes to make your skin feel extremely soft and clean. Quick and easy. Dr Van Der Hoog is very affordable too. Love it!
CoverGirl Bombshell Volume Mascara
CoverGirl never disappoints me when it comes to mascara. This new one requires a little work, but the results are amazing! Don’t forget to enter my CoverGirl giveaway by the way: I’ve teamed up with them and together we’re giving a $100 gift card to Walmart. 🙂
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light
I’m still working on my review for this one (will be up soon), but spoiler alert: this powder makes your skin look like you’ve been kissed by an angel! That’s all I’m gonna say for now…stay tuned for my review!
MAC Ring of Saturn Mineralize Blush
I’m always a little careful when it comes to MAC face products (they tend to break me out easily), but I HAD to try this mineralize blush after seeing the initial swatches online. Will show you how beautiful this blush is in a separate post. It’s basically a blush and highlighter in one. Very pretty and it hasn’t broken me out!
it Cosmetics Vitality Butter Gloss in ‘I Believe’ and ‘Pretty In Pink’
I’ve been grabbing for these glosses daily. They are SO nice! Very moisturizing and they make my lips look glossy and luscious. I’m very picky when it comes to lipgloss (I actually prefer lipsticks, because I hate sticky lipgloss), but these are NOICE! Check out my review (with pictures and swatches) here.
Moisture Max and Aloe Vera Gel by Kenya
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these organic hair products made by KenyaNoelle on Instagram. I use ‘Moisture Max’ after I wash my hair (on wet hair) and the ‘Aloe Gel’ is perfect for every day use. More on these very soon!
