One of my new year’s resolutions was to spend less money on makeup and to choose my actual purchases wisely. Instead of randomly purchasing things, I now make myself keep a wish list: one for drugstore and one for Sephora. I showed you guys which drugstore goodies I’m ‘lemming’ for in this post, today I’ll be sharing my Sephora list with you! So far there are 3 items on this list:
1) Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder
This one of Hourglass’ ‘Ambiant Lighting powders’. The one I want is in color Radiant Light, which is a golden beige powder. Actually, I may or may not already ordered this… *looks away*
2) Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush
Speaking of Hourglass and their ambient lighting powders…they’ve recently released a set of new blushes that were only available for VIB’s at first (I’m not one of those yet…). The blushes are currently out of stock, but I’m thinking Sephora will restock them soon and open them up to the public. I hope so, because these blushes are GORGEOUS.
These new Hourglass blushes combine the customized lighting effects of the Ambient Lighting Powders with very pretty and natural looking cheek shades…genius! I’ve been going back and forth all week, but I’ve decided to go for Radiant Magenta, which is a golden fuchsia. Diffused Heat looks beautiful too (it’s described as a vibrant poppy), but a couple of my friends on Instagram told me that this one might not show up on my skin tone (NC45), so Radiant Magenta it is.
3) Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Crayon
This is a gel crayon eyeliner with a waterproof, long-wearing, color-intense payoff. I played with it at the store and it really is amazing! I applied it on my hand and the rest of the day it stayed without smudging. This surprised me, because I wash my hands constantly throughout the day. I had to use an oil to take it off.
It retails for $25, which might sound like a lot of money, but for a fantastic eyeliner that stays all day and is truly waterproof, to me it’s worth it! Also, it will probably last me for about six months, so yeah… I want it!
Have you tried any of these products yet? If so, are they worth drooling over?
