A Week of Favorites: Nail Polish Top Coats
27 Jan 2014
Hi guys! Instead of doing my regular monthly favorites (the products I’ve been loving the most this past month), I decided to do something differently. This whole week I’m going to be showing you some of my favorite products in the SAME product range, these will be items that I currently own, love and still use. I’m calling this series “A Week of Favorites”. Clever, right? lol
I’m going to start of with my favorite top coats. A top coat is a transparent nail polish that you apply on top of your regular nail polish. It helps quickly dry nails in minutes, gives a more durable manicure and offers durable high gloss shine. Because I’m a little obsessed with nail polishes, I don’t just own one top coat… Nope, I currently have 4 and I use them all! See below which ones they are. 😉
From left to right:
*Quick Dry Top Coat (found at Dollar Tree)
*Creative Nail Design (CND) Vinylux Nail Lacquer Weekly Top Coat (online)
*Nail-Aid Triple Wrap Thickener (Ross/Walmart)
*Cult Wicked Fast Speed Dry Top Coat (online)
*Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat (any drugstore)
Special mentions: the two below, Cult Wicked and Vinylux, are currently my ultimate favorites! They are BOMB! If you’re looking for a new top coat, I definitely recommend either one.
Vinylux Nail Lacquer Weekly Top Coat by Creative Nail Design CND
I found mine on Amazon for just $4.95. Super cheap and it’s the best top coat I’ve found EVER. It makes your nail polish look good for daaaays. If you’d like a full review on it, just let me know.
Wicked Fast Speed Dry Top Coat by Cult Nails
This top coat retails for $10, so it’s twice as much as Vinylux, and you can only buy it online. However, Cult Nails is a so-called indie brand and I personally love supporting small businesses, especially if they offer great products. Cult often offers free shipping, and that was when I purchased this Top Coat. No regrets!
More of my ultimate favorites tomorrow! Stay tuned!
