Remember these pictures of me wearing different glasses? A couple of weeks ago I had posted pictures of 6 different Warby Parker frames, asking you which ones you liked best. Warby Parker sells online eyeglasses and designer frames. I took advantage of their Home Try-On option, which gave me 5 days to try the glasses at home. Then, if I find ones I liked, I could order them for $95. If didn’t like any of the frames I selected, I’d just sent them back. This was free of charge.
Warby Parker frames in ‘Nedwin’ (color: amber)
I promised to let you guys know which frames I ended up ordering. It’s been a little while, but here they are! I received them 5 days after I placed my order, but for some reason I forgot to share these pictures here….Anyway, thanks to everyone who voted! Most people voted for option B, the square frames called Japhy.
However, I didn’t listen to any of you (sorry!), because I ended up getting totally different frames. I really like the Japhy as well, but because I’ve already had a pair of dark, square frames in the past, I decided to pick something different. I decided to go for these Nedwin frames. The frames are brown, square-ish, but still with a bit of an edge.
Special appearance by my hubby
Like I’ve mentioned before, I purchased these frames from WarbyParker.com They retail for $99. This price includes the frames, anti-reflective prescription lenses, free shipping and 30-day returns. I decided to get ultra-thin, 1.67 high-index lenses, because my prescription is very strong. This costs me $30 extra, but it’s better than walking around with thick, nerd glasses
They total price was $125. Not bad! Also, every time you buy a pair of Warby Parker glasses (whether prescription, non-prescription, or sunglasses), they make a donation to a renowned non-profit such as Community Enterprise Solutions, which enables this organization to give away a pair of glasses to someone who otherwise would not have access to them. Love this!
What do you think of the glasses I decided on? Good choice, or did you like the other frames better? You can find my original post here.
