Even though the title of this post says ‘review’, I would more call this a ‘warning’. If you were considering getting this Gel Perfect UV-Free Gel-Color by Nutra Nail, don’t do it! I picked it up at my local Sunday Morning and I was super disappointed. It only costs me $6.99 (in stead of the regular $11.99), but I would still say it was a waste of money. I’ll tell you why.
How it’s described:
“No more dings and smudges. No expensive curing processes, no complicated, time-consuming applications: just great gel nail color quick and easy! Great for pedicures as well as manicures!
Removal is just as quick and easy-just 2 minutes with No-Mess Express. It’s so fast ‘on and off’ that you’ll want to change your color as often as you change your look! Since you don’t need a UV/LED light you can do your manicure anywhere! Try all the fun, fabulous and fashionable colors for your next perfectly strong, perfectly beautiful and out the door in 5 minutes mani or pedi.”
The reason I say I’m disappointed, is because when I applied this polish it didn’t hold up at all! I applied it in the morning and the next day ALL my nails were chipped! Every single one… I’ve never had a polish chip on me SO fast. Not even the cheap ones that only cost me a dollar or so and were ‘regular’ ones, not ‘gel’.
This Gel Perfect is supposed to set in 5 minutes and be ‘ding-free. Well, not in my experience. My nails started looking so horrid that I had to remove the polish asap. I didn’t even take a picture to show you guys. I just wanted to get it off my nails as soon as possible.
If you’re still curious about trying Nutra Nail Gel Perfect UV-Free Gel-Color, you can find it at most drugstores (like Walgreens) and now also at discount stores (Sunday Morning). It regularly retails for $11.99, but in stores like Tuesday Morning you can find it for less. The box contains a gel color (I got the one in the shade ‘Moonstone’), an activator and brush cleaner. No UV light necessary.
