I’ve been slacking lately…forgive me! The days are just not long enough. Also, Mason is at a stage that he’s all over the place and gets bored easily (like every other kid, I guess!), so he demands a lot of attention. So most times blogging gets put on the back burner…
For example, yesterday I wanted to remind you guys that MAC’s RiRi Hearts MAC Collection was available for purchase at freestanding MAC stores, but I totally didn’t have the chance to sit at my computer. Sorry about that! If you still wanted some RiRi goodies and didn’t know it was already available, don’t worry! The collection will available online on September 30th (Monday) and all other US locations beginning October 3rd. And international later on of course.
On to today’s topic! The other day I was looking through my skincare baskets (yes, I’m one of those hoarders) and I found a product that I was loving a while back and then totally forgot about: the Beauty Flash Balm by Clarins.
It had been on my wishlist for a long long time and I couldn’t bring myself to purchase it (it’s $45 for a small tube, pretty expensive!). Then I finally broke down and bought it during Sephora’s Friends and Family Sale in 2011 to take advantage of the 20% off deal. I used it for a little while, love it, but then moved on to the next hot item. Pretty shameful, I must say.
In case you’re not familiar with Clarins’ Beauty Flash Balm: according to Clarins this product “instantly moisturizes, brightens, and tightens facial contours so skin looks rested and relaxed.” It also “prepares skin for perfect makeup application.”
I suppose you could call this a ‘moisturizing primer.’ It provide some degree of moisturization (although it’s not an actual moisturizer ) and it also smooths skin and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It’s a really good base for make up.
The purpose of this post? To let you know that I’ve started using this again and my goal is to actually finish it this time. Wish me luck!
