On My Nails: Wet n Wild Fergie and CoverGirl’s Crushed Berry (new)

Here’s my manicure of the week. :-) It’s actually quite of a FAIL. I wanted to try my nail Fergie polish, called Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s the polish with all the stars that I showed in my Wet N Wild haul here. I was aiming for absurd over the top nails, but I didn’t quite work out.

I used one of my new CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Glosses (I talked about them here). I love these new polishes. The finish is extremely pretty (very shiny, almost gel looking), you don’t need to use a basecoat (it’s already in there!) and it’s very long lasting. I applied the purple one, called Crushed Berries, thinking it would be a nice dark base for the stars to ‘shine’ on…

Unfortunately it didn’t work out the way I had planned. It is SO hard to get the stars on my nails! I managed to do one star on each nail, but that’s about it. Grrr! Of course I could have applied multiple layers in order to get more stars, but I didn’t want to do that. More layers means faster chipping, in my opinion.

I applied one or two coats of the Wet N Wild polish and all I got was one star per nail. :-( Does anybody know how to get more stars in one coat?? I was hoping to get ridiculously crazy purple nails with tons of colorful, childish, but oh so fun stars….
