I have a beauty confession. I love eye cream. I really love eye cream. If I forget to apply it before bed, I can’t sleep. If I forget to apply it in the morning, I avoid the sun all day because I think it will instantly turn me into a wrinkled, old prune…. Getting wrinkles around my eyes is my number one beauty fear! I’ll do anything (almost anything) to avoid them. I started using eye cream religiously about 3 years ago, I wish I would have started sooner! Prevention is key. I don’t have wrinkles (yet), but what I do have, are dark circles. Especially if I don’t get a lot of sleep (like right now!).
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been using the Anti-Aging Eye Cream by Mía Mariú. Below is my review. If you don’t know how to apply eye cream properly (yes, there’s a proper way to do it!), check out this post I wrote two years ago on how to apply eye cream.
Description by Mía Mariú
Erase circles and banish wrinkles around the eyes. This lightweight, anti-aging formula is quickly absorbed into the skin, instantly awakening tired-looking eyes. Contains powerful antioxidants like Japanese Green Tea, Aloe and Vitamins B5 and E, which help reduce puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. Peptides inhibit the breakdown of collagen helping skin maintain its firmness.
What are my thoughts?
o The ingredients are great! Japanese Green Tea, Aloe and Vitamins B5 and E.
o I like that it’s oil-free. I haven’t had any breakouts around eyes.
o It hasn’t irritated my eye area either.
o It comes in a pump bottle, which is great. I don’t have to dig my finger in a jar.
o One pump is enough for both eyes (I pat the cream around the bone area), a little goes a long way. This bottle is going to last me for months!
o It absorbs into my skin real fast, which is perfect for mornings. I don’t have wait for it to get absorbed before applying eye liner or eye shadow base/primer.
Overall, I think this is a great eye cream with lots of beneficial ingredients!
