MAC’s newest collection will be available online tomorrow (Thursday) and will be in US stores on Thursday October 4! Of course I’m talking about MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection for Fall 2012. I’m sure you all have seen pictures online already. This will be a popular one!

This is how MAC Cosmetics describes this collection inspired by the late and great Marilyn Monroe:

Lipsticks in rapturous reds, gleaming Dazzleglass, a dramatic 35 Lash, False Lashes Extreme Black and Eye Shadows in shimmering metallic and diamond tones provide silver-screen allure. The finishing touch: Nail Lacquers destined to be a girl’s best friend and Beauty Powder to evoke that flawless Forever Marilyn.

I am very interested in the lipsticks in this collection. I’m a sucker for lipsticks and special, limited edition packaging get me (almost) every time too. I’ll sure be picking up one or two lipsticks. There are 5 in this collection, as pictured above.

Here are swatches of four of the five lipsticks. They are by the lovely Ms. Kenya Noelle, who attended MAC’s special event last night (thanks again, girl!). I love seeing swatches on brown skin, because sometimes a lipstick just doesn’t look the same on everyone. Being a woman of color myself, I always look for swatches by other WOC.

They retail for $16.50 each. Remember when MAC lipsticks were $14.50? Those were the days, huh? Anyway, what will you be getting??
