Hi guys! I’ve been getting some questions about the Sephora sale I wrote about yesterday. I put together a short Q&A, hope this is helpful. Whenever I get more information or when something changes, I’ll post an update of course!
What is the Sephora Friends and Family (F&F) sale?
This sale originally started as a 20% off discount to friends and family of employees, but over the years it has expanded to include anyone who knows about it. 
When is the next Sephora F&F sale?
It’s from October 18 until October 31, 2012.
How do I get the discount?
You get 20% off your purchase when you order online, this discount is valid on all merchandise, there are no exclusions. The sale will probably be like last year’s when there was a special F&F link, instead of a discount code. I will let you guys know as soon as I find out!
Can I also get 20% off in the store?
There are special cards that a Sales Associate at Sephora may share with you. But from what I understand these are rare. You have to know somebody!
I’m overseas, can I order from Sephora.com?
Nope, sorry! Sephora.com does not accept international credit cards or foreign shipping addresses.
Is the $50 minimum purchase for free shipping calculated before or after the discount?
I believe it’s after the discount. Someone correct me if I’m wrong!
What are YOU getting from the Sephora F&F sale?
Uhm, I’ll let you know in a separate post. As you know, I’m on a ‘low-buy’, so I have to give my purchases some extra thought…
Anything else we should know?
Yes! 3 things:
1) If you know you’re spending $100 or more, divide your order into 2 separate orders! This way you’ll get twice as many free samples (Sephora.com always lets you pick 3 samples with each order) and still pay no shipping costs.
2) Also, don’t forget about this page on Sephora.com. Here is where you can always find bonus offers, limited-time markdowns and weekly changing specials. It won’t hurt to also check it out during the F&F sale!
3) And finally: the holiday season is coming up and every beauty lover knows what that means! Holiday sets! Some brands have already released theirs: a holiday set is a great opportunity to try out new products for a cheaper price.
