These cream eye shadows have been out for a while (about six months, I believe). There already are tons of reviews posted online, but here are my two cents about the product anyway! One review more or less doesn’t matter, right?
I bought these 4 colors right before my trip to Asia. I threw them in my makeup travel bag when I left and I have them with me during this recent trip as well. That says a lot! If I didn’t like them, I definitely would pack them again. It’s not like I don’t have alternatives, my makeup collection is almost embarrassing…
Maybelline put out 10 colors in total, these are the 4 I have:
From left to right, top to bottom
15 Audacious Asphalt & 25 Bad to the Bronze
30 Pomegranate Punk & 20 Painted Purple

This is what Maybelline claims about their cream gel eye shadows:
“Ink technology creates 24HR wear shadow for our most intense, long-lasting color saturation. Cream formula glides on without creasing and keeps color vibrant.”
This is what I think:
These shadows are definitely long-lasting! I do apply a primer first, because if I don’t, they crease a little bit on me (I blame my extremely oily eyelids!). They’re long-lasting and very pigmented. My eye makeup looks good all day!
The colors can be sheer, I just apply a thin layer, OR very vibrant when I apply two or more layers. I do have to be careful not to apply too much, because then it starts looking like old lady skin…
I also have to work fast: if I wait too long between layers, the cream dries up which makes it impossible to continue blending (but that’s how it ends up being long-lasting!).
Overall, I love these! They are available at drugstores, making them very affordable, and there are currently 10 very nice colors available. You can see all 10 colors here on Maybelline’s website.
