YBF? Your Best Face! This skin care line was founded by two longtime friends who abandoned the 9 to 5 routine, leaped from the corporate ladder and followed their dreams. Now they produce an anti-aging skincare line using antioxidants, peptides and botanicals. How awesome is that?
I was contacted by them and asked if I wanted to try a few samples to try and possibly review. I’m always curious to hear about new products and brands, so of course I said yes! I received a generous amount of samples and decided to pick three products to share with you guys!
I’ll be reviewing 3 separate products:
Define Anti-age Cream (for people looking to improve the look and feel of their lips)
Quench Lip Treatment (for people who want to keep their lips soft and kissable)
Balance Cream (for people with skin irritation, excess oil or breakouts)
Feel free to scroll down to the product you’re most interested in.
So the 1st product I’ve been trying for the last month or so is called DEFINE. DEFINE is an anti-age cream for your lips that is said to brighten, contour and improve fullness.

Define is for anyone interested in improving the look and feel of the lip area and who wants to incorporate brightening, anti-aging lip care into their skincare routine. You’ll notice more defined, fuller, youthful-looking lips with Define. Who can resist that?
The most interesting part about this product is the fact that it’s an anti-age cream for your lips with interesting ingredients. It contains botanicals and peptides that help reduce existing lip lines and prevent new ones from forming. I have been using this at night before bed. On the website it says to apply it sparingly to the lip area and massage until fully absorbed. Or to apply liberally as a nighttime lip mask, set as long as desired. I think it’s a little too creamy to be used under a lipstick or gloss, so I prefer to use it at nighttime.
This isn’t a ‘regular’ lip plumper. It improves the appearance of your lips and help them look natural and in great shape: brighter lips, reduced wrinkles, increased moisture and collagen levels. So far I haven’t noticed any major changes in my lips, but I do like! It’s sweet and little minty (yes, at the same time) and feels like a treat for my lips. I’ll definitely continue to use it. I have these teeny ‘bumps’ on the outline of my lips, that I can’t wait to get rid of!
DEFINE retails for $70 (for .5 oz / 15 ml). Yes, this is a lot of money, mainly because of the peptides, I believe. Click here to find the full list of ingredients.
The 2nd product I received is called QUENCH, which is also a lip product. Being a lipstick person (I wear lipstick every single day!), I think you can never have enough lip care!
QUENCH is a lip treatment that is supposed to heal, refresh and protect.

QUENCH is better than ever. We improved on its velvety feel, making it smoother and sexier-feeling for both the kisser and the kissee. We also increased Quench’s antioxidant protection, further adding to the cumulative benefits you might not experience with traditional lip balms.
So QUENCH contains Vitamin E, meadowfoam and blueberry seed oils. The first ingredient is beeswax. It’s a soft lip balm stick (not a cream, like DEFINE). When I read that it had peppermint, I was afraid that it would be like those Burt’s Bees lip balms (those are reeeeally minty). Luckily it’s not! It is a little minty (just a little though!), but it’s mostly sweet like DEFINE. This biggest difference with DEFINE is that this one is a lot more moisturizing!
QUENCH is a little bit more affordable too (I guess because it doesn’t have peptides?). It retails for $15 (for .15 oz / 4.7 grams). You can find it here.
And the 3rd and last product that I want to share is called BALANCE. This is actually the one I’m most excited about!
If you’ve been following my site for a while, you’re probably tired of hearing (reading?) me complain about my oily skin… But yes, I have extremely oily skin.
BALANCE is a cream that is said to regulate shine, calm irritation and encourage clear skin.

Balance is a new skin calming, lightweight and pale blue lotion that’s anti-aging and helps clear skin of breakouts and the damage they cause. Balance is for anyone, even if they don’t have breakout problems, and so there’s lots of active ingredients to improve any type of skin and make a great enhancement to your skincare routine.
I love this stuff!
It does exactly what it says. I apply it in the morning (after my moisturizer and before my primer if I’m wearing makeup) and it keeps my face matte. Not all day unfortunately, but honestly I haven’t found a product (yet) that does that. Like I said, my skin is extremely oily. But yes: this, in combination with my Coral Actives Acne Treatment, works great!
BALANCE retails for $45 (for 1 oz / 30 ml). If you have excess oil or breakouts, it’s totally worth the money, I’d say! You can find it here.
YBF Skin Care is available online at TheSkinCareShop.com, TruthinAging.com and The MakeupBar.com. The Makeup Bar doesn’t ship internationally unfortunately, but the other two do. The official website is YBF-skincare.com. Thanks for reading!
