Review: Daliia Herbal Kohl Eyeliner (and a look)

Daliia Herbal Kohl Eyeliner

I’ve written about herbal skincare plenty of times before, but I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned herbal makeup. Well, there’s a first time for everything! 😉

DALiiA Cosmetics sent me one of their newest products: the Herbal Kohl Eyeliner, which is part of their herbal makeup collection:

“DALiiA’s herbal makeup range is made with pure ingredients designed to perform like makeup while providing additional health benefits. By using Ayurvedic remedies for eye care, Herbal Kohl Eyeliner helps tone and refresh eyes. Botanical oils and almond mustard provide hydration to nourish lashes naturally.”

So if I understand correctly Ayurveda is an herbal health tradition used in eastern medicine for over 5,000 years. Herbal kohl/kajal is made from herbs and botanical oils. It means that the products contain no parabens, no petro chemicals, no pthalates, no silicone and no synthetic preservatives.

And…you also need no sharpener! 😀 Arabic eyeliners sharpen themselves as they are used, as they are used on an angle.

The kohl eyeliner is available in 5 shades:

-Cleopatra Black
-Starlight Silver
-Persian Gold
-Bronze Age Beauty (an olive green)
-Coco-Copper Almond (a copper brown)

I received the silver one, called Starlight Silver. It’s packaged like a lipstick with a mini pop-up mirror. Cute! And of course I had to try it!

Here it is as a liner (I also could have used it as an eye shadow). It’s also under my waterline and in the corners of my eyes.

I like it! It’s easy to use (easier than liquid liner) and it’s very pigmented. It does smell a little ‘funky’ though. Very herbal, which isn’t one of my favorite scents. Fortunately, I don’t smell it after it’s been applied. 😉

Oh, here are some ‘full face‘ pictures for the people who were complaining last time when I didn’t include full face shots, just eye pictures… You know who you are! Lol! 😉

By the way, my blush didn’t look that bright in real life, don’t worry!

You can find the Daliia Herbal Kohl Eyeliner at Whole Foods in the US and on It retails for $28 and they ship worldwide. A little expensive if you ask me, but it does last a long time and it’s good for the skin around your eyes!

I learn something new everyday! Now I’ll be in the Whole Foods checking this out for at least a half hour! lol. Nice review Kizzy!

  3. Hi well I love Daliia Herbal eyeliner and i where the Persian Gold, streaking it slightly across the top of my cheek bones really highlights golden tan brown skin. I love it on my otherwise tire eyes. It brightens and adds a brilliant natural touch. I want to get the Cocoa Copper Almond for the Fall season. I would recommend this product for those who want the benefits of natural ingredient solid form skin and beauty care.

  4. Hihi! 🙂 Let me know if you find it. I hope they have all colors to pick from!

  5. Merci beaucoup! 🙂

Yes! I wear it daily! At first I thought gold would not be a daily quick summer make-up application, but it actually brightens, highlights and accentuates beautifully naturally!!! I wear it even while at Zumba fitness classes, which I sweat a lot! Try it try it!!!
