Remember how I was saying that I hated crackle (or shatter) nail polish, because I didn’t think it would look good on my super short nails? Well, I take that back! 😀
This is what I have on my nails right now: 42 Dress for a Moment by Essence as a base and…(surprise, surprise!) China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Black Mesh. And I actually like this combo! 🙂
The Essence polish is part of their ‘Colour and Go’ collection and is a soft lilac. It’s creamy and the formula is quite thick and a little hard to work with. The finish is very pretty though! And purple!
On top of that I have China Glaze’s black crackle polish, which is a black that shrinks when it dries to leave a shattered layer. Because the crackle polish dries matte, I applied a regular topcoat (Seche Vite: review here) on top to add shine. This also deepened the black of the crackle.
More pictures below! What do you think?
Edit: If you don’t know how cracke polish works, check out this entry I wrote. It explains how I got my nails looking this way!
