I got an email yesterday and I thought you might be interested! It is about a new campaign called Wellness The Original Beauty Secret that was launched during the Mercedes Benz Fashion week. The goal of this campaign is to help redefine beauty and use those healthy definitions of beauty to share celebrity beauty secret/tips. Basically to assist women towards a positive self image and to highlight the benefits of healthy living. Also, the campaign will encourage women across the country to share their beauty secret and their definition with beauty!

The campaign relates to all aspects of wellness and really focuses on feeling, looking and being well. I really stand by this! I mean, what the point of slapping on make up if your skin doesn’t look good or if you’re not feeling well?

Wellness The Original Beauty Secret consists of two parts. They are asking you:

1)  to redefine beauty as it pertains to living a healthy lifestyle;
2) and they want you to share a beauty secret/tip.

I thought about this for a while and this is what I came up with:

Try to avoid fast food and try to eat as healthy as you can! If you don’t eat right and feel like blah, there is no make up in the world that is going to make you beautiful! There are certain foods that have powerhouse ingredients that keep skin soft and smooth and help fight age-related damage. Think of olive oil, cucumbers, flax seeds, beets, blueberries, green tea etc.

Also, avoid stress and stressful situations. When I’m under a lot of stress, my skin looks horrible. I get nasty breakouts on my face and dark circles under my eyes
Science has even proven that when the stress hormone cortisol (literally!) gets under your skin, it leads to dryness and other signs of aging. So my beauty tips are: avoid fast food an stress!
