Today I redeemed one of my birthday gifts: I had a Microderm Triple Peel! First time ever! A microderm triple peel is a facial that treats epidermal layers for wrinkles, sunspots, acne, scars and pigmentation.
I’m not exactly sure what was done to my face while I was in the salon (I had my eyes closed the whole time and was almost in dreamland), but I know that the procedure consisted of three types of exfoliation:
The lady started with deep cleansing followed by a skin analysis (I heard the words ‘oily skin’ a lot). She then applied an enzyme treatment which loosens dead skin. I then had Microdermabrasion which was done using a device that polishes off the loosened skin. The 3rd and final peel was a customized mask under light steam, while she gave me an arm and hand hot stone massage. The procedure took about 70 minutes.
I loved it!! My skin feels smooth and looks ‘fresh’! The lady at the salon warned me that my skin will flake for the next two days. Well, I look forward to it! Bye bye outer damaged skin…hello fresh newer skin with invisible pores!
