MAC’s Cyndi & Gaga Lip Bags…not my thing

MAC Cosmetics

As you probably know MAC Cosmetics releases a new Viva Glam lipstick every year. As with all Viva Glam products, 100% of the funds raised will benefit the MAC Aids foundation. This year’s versions had Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga as ‘spokeswomen’. MAC then also released Viva Glam lip glasses, which of course match the lipsticks and were also inspired by Cyndi and Gaga.

Now MAC is offering the ‘Viva Glam Gaga Bag’ and ‘Viva Glam Cyndi Bag’.

Mac Cosmetics

The ‘Viva Glam Gaga Bag’ and ‘Viva Glam Cyndi Bag’ are cosmetics bags in the shape of lips. To be more precise: they are made from polyester/nylon and feature pink and red stripes with the celebrities’ signatures on one side and a digitized image of a lip on the other. They retail for $28.00 each.

Honestly, I think they’re awful! I know that the proceeds go to charity, but these cosmetics bags are not appealing to me at all! I find them very ‘cheap’ and childish… I usually love the limited edition cosmetics bags that MAC comes out with: I have a little black one that I bought years ago that I love and still use daily. But these new ones really don’t do it in my opinion…. I think they could have come out with something much nicer!

What do you think?

Quick side note: MacCosmetics.com is offering free shipping with any purchase all Labour Day weekend!! No code necessary. Pretty sweet if you don’t have a MAC store or counter nearby! Unfortunately for my Dutch readers, MAC still doesn’t accept out of country credit cards.

You can leave a response. And just a heads up: if you see a comment in a foreign language, it’s probably DUTCH.

Hm don’t know… Definitely not very original and even though I don’t think the front looks all that bad, the back (the lips…) are absolutely horrible :S
