I’m back with some beauty news! Actually, it’s old news but since I was away (I was in Holland for a month), I didn’t get the time to share it with you earlier. I’m talking about the Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless product samples I received.
When I got back to my US home, I was so happy to see this package on my desk! I love trying out new things, especially when it’s something unique like this. You see, Covergirl and Olay recently joined forces to create new products: an anti-aging make-up line.
The make up know-how of Covergirl combined with the skin care expertise of Olay makes a whole new make up line called Simply Ageless, ‘make up that makes you look younger’. Sounds promising, right?
I received 4 products. I haven’t tried them yet (it’s been super hot here, so I haven’t been putting on much make up), but I sure can’t wait to do so!
1. Simple Ageless Foundation
What they say: This foundation is designed to suspend over fine lines for an ultrafine layer of coverage and an instantly younger and smoother appearance.
My first thoughts: I’m curious to see what this foundation does! They say it has shown to improve skin condition in just 4 weeks of continuous use. And it has SPF 22, which isn’t bad. It’s available in 15 colors: I received Toasted Almond. I’m this shade in regular Covergirl foundation, so it should be a match!
2. Simple Ageless Corrector
What they say: Visibly correct even the most severe dark circles for a more youthful look.
My first thoughts: From what I understand is that you’re supposed to use the corrector when you have severe dark circles. The yellow in this product counteracts the dark circles. If your dark circles aren’t that severe, you can just use the concealer (see below).
3. Simple Ageless Eye Concealer
What they say: Hide dark circles and visibly brighten skin around your eyes for a wide-awake look.
My first thoughts: The concealer hides dark circles by brightening and moisturizing the skin around your eyes. It comes in four shades (very light, light, light medium and medium/dark). Pretty straightforward to me!
4. Simple Ageless Sculpting Blush
What they say: Instantly sculpt cheekbones for an even, naturally glowing look.
My first thoughts: I can’t wait to use this blush! It’s a creamy color that uses an advanced Olay Regenerist serum that works with the Covergirl blush. This product is available in four shades: Plush Peach, Rich Cinnamon, Royal Plum and Lush Berry. I have Lush Berry.
And last but not least: the packaging! Isn’t it to die for? It’s absolutely adorable! It looks like candy…hihi! The white swirl you see is the serum, which blends in invisibly without modifying the color of the product. Pretty neat!
