At the same market I wrote about yesterday, there was also an Avon booth. I’m sure everybody is familiar with this company. If you haven’t encountered any ‘Avon ladies’ in your lifetime, I’m sure you’ve seen the Avon site or seen their stores! At the market I didn’t buy anything from Avon, but I did look around and was given their new catalog.
I’ve written about one Avon product on my site before (find that post here). And that’s the ‘Avon MagiX Face Perfector’ (a primer with SPF 20), which I absolutely love. It works great, even on my oil dripping skin (yes, it’s that bad!). The best thing about this primer is that is goes on as a gel, but then it dries into a silky powder (a plus when you have oily skin). The primer mattifies like no other and feels great under powder foundation. Granted, it doesn’t last all day, but it sure goes a long way!
Anyway, I digress. At the market I was contemplating about getting the Avon primer, but since I’ve recently bought another primer (the ‘L’Oreal Studio Secrets Face Primer’), so I decided not to (yes, I made a smart shopping decision for once!). Anyway, when I got home, I browsed the catalog I was given (see pic!) and a product I hadn’t seen before caught my eye. A liquid foundation in the same packaging as the primer that I love so much!
The foundation is called ‘Magix Cashmere Finish Liquid Foundation’ and apparently it’s a new product. It combines the qualities of the primer (pore minimizing, shine banishing, skin smoothing) with a liquid foundation with SPF 10 with a dewy matte finish. So basically everything I love about the primer, now in a liquid mousse foundation! Sweet! The color range is pretty decent too. I think ‘Earth’ or ‘Nutmeg’ would be my match.

The Avon lady who helped us.
What do you think, guys? Do fellow blogger D. and I need this foundation in our lives?
Have you ever tried it?
About the MAC conquests that I wrote about in yesterday’s blog post:
The merchant wasn’t being shady or trying to trick us. She told us exactly which products were authentic and which were knock-offs. We didn’t get any of the knock-offs to be clear. Quick suggestion: if you own a MAC eyeshadow and you’re not sure if it’s real or not, this post goes into the tell-tale differences between real eyeshadows and the kind of fakes often sold on Ebay.
