Picture heavy blog post today!
Below you’ll find a little map that shows the road trip we made last weekend. We started out in San Francisco, then went south towards Los Angeles, West-Hollywood and ended up in San Diego, close to the Mexican border.
Kizzy wouldn’t be Kizzy if she hadn’t done a little beauty shopping, right?
Actually, I managed to control myself! Most of the time we weren’t near any shops anyway (we spent a lot of time hanging out with friends and family), which made ‘controlling myself’ a little easier…
So yeah, I did have 2 little shopping sprees. And when I say little, I really mean little! The shopping spree I’m covering today came up to a total of $15.15, including tax… See? I told you I managed to control myself!
I bought these goodies in an upscale beach town called Del Mar, where we had a little pit stop. I wasn’t alone: I was with my mother-in-law, who is guilty of shopping while driving as well!
Del Mar is stop C on the map below, near San Diego.

The goodies!
The beauty supply store we purchased these things at called ‘Beauty and the Boutique’, happened to have a little sale. These items were all just $1.99 each!

I got three Joe Blasco eye shadows: Burgundy, Coffee and Gray Violet (all matte colors). I had never heard of this brand/make up artist, but my mother-in-law had and she ensured me that for $1.99 each they were definitely worth buying!

A flat lip liner pencil by Styli Style (designed to make a thin OR thick line). This is also a brand I hadn’t heard of before, but the sales lady was so enthusiastic about this that I couldn’t leave it behind….

A lipstick by VIP Cosmetics in the color Sheer Brown. The packaging looks a lot like the YSL lipsticks, doesn’t it? I purchased it for $1.99 and the original price was $10.40

And I saved the best for last: Naked Kiss plump + polish lipsticks by Taberco. The last few days I’ve been wearing one or the other and they are great! Pretty colors, very creamy texture and they don’t dry out my lips at all! The colors lasts for a long time as well. I’m not sure about the ‘plumping’ (didn’t see much difference), but that’s ok. I love them! Did you spot the little mirror?
Had you heard of these brands before?
