Hey! Missed me? I was away for a few days for a short road trip to my hubby’s family in San Diego and Los Angeles. It was superlovely!

And during this trip I discovered that the Camo Quad concealer from Coastal Scents that I wrote about in this blog post is not for me… :-(

Coastal Scents
Camo Quad Concealer in ‘Medium’. Price: $7.95 You can find this item here

Camo Quads contain 4 cream concealers. These apply with a light feel and blend easily to cover imperfections of the skin. All 3 Concealer Quads contain a white highlight shade, this is used on the inner and outer corner of the eye to impart a bright and wide awake appearance to tired eyes. White can also be used to lighten and custom blend a shade in order for it to match your skin tone. We offer these in Light, Medium and Dark tone compacts. Use on clean, moisturized skin prior to applying your foundation and powder.

Honestly, it’s not that great…. I was really excited to try it out, but it was somewhat of a disappointment…

Yes, it’s creamy, BUT it dries as a powder, making it very dry. Even on my skin (which is very very oily), it appears dry. As a result it makes the concealer very difficult to blend. The coverage isn’t that great either. My dark circles are still visible after applying the product. So are the spots on my cheeks. I would say light to medium coverage.

I don’t think the colors are right for me either. I tried to take pictures, but the swatches didn’t really show on my camera. Basically: the colors don’t work for my skintone… They are too reddish. My skin has a yellow undertone and I have red spots on my cheeks. A concealer with a red undertone just doesn’t look good. And to top it off: the two lightest colors (highlighters) in the quad are too white, making me look like Casper the Ghost.

I purchased the Medium quad, but maybe I should have picked the Dark one? I don’t know…
