I’ve written about dealing with oily skin often on this blog. It’s something I ‘suffer’ from and can not get rid of. Not for a 100% at least…

See? Ieew! Gross!
Yes yes, I know that having an oily skin will delay the appearance of wrinkles, but sometimes it’s just not cool to be looking like someone dipped your head in a bucket of olive oil….
So in the last few years I’ve been collecting as many tips as possible on how to deal with oily skin:
- I put on a peel-off facial mask every week (either Freeman’s Silk-a-Peel with cucumber, melon and ginseng or Essence’s Pure Skin). They really suck my pores dry and make my skin feel soft and clean.
- I use a primer before applying foundation/after putting on moisturizer. Currently I’m using Avon’s Magix Primer. However, when I finish the tube, I’m not going to buy it again. I don’t think it really does the job….
- I use a cleanser and toner that have Salycic Acid. Especially since my skin is also acne-prone. Currently I’m a big fan of Essence’s Pure Skin line. I buy the products at my local drugstore (Kruidvat) and I don’t think any other drugstore sells it.
- I use olive oil as a make up remover. And after I cleanse my skin, I put some olive oil on my skin again and let it soak for a few minutes.
- And of course I use blot/oil controlling powder and tons of blotting papers.
You can find more tips and tricks in this post I wrote back in February!

If you have a helpful tip that you suspect I don’t know about yet, let me know in the comments!
